“A Travelodge in disguise”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 16, 2013

Stayed here for two nights and first impression was self-checkin on a computer screen which was not a good start but it got worse. Decor in public areas tired and worn, rooms very small and again dated and worn decor. Lighting in bathroom was a strip light, starting to get the picture.

Only positive was the location.

If this hotel was £100 per night then you could maybe overlook some of the things but it was £180 which is the same as a Park Plaza i would normally stay at and unfortunately they are not in the same league.

Hotel is beautifully placed just next to St Paul's Cathedral. I stayed there for 2 weeks for a business trip and had an awesome experience because of connectivity. Regularly connected with buses and tubes you can stay here for easily roaming around - bridges, palace, oxford street, local markets.

Experience in hotel - Very friendly staff and has a lovely French restaurant. There are lot of subs, pizza, coffee and rest near by that you will never be short of any food. A nearby shopping mall gives a wonderful shopping opportunity as well. Interestingly staff is multi cultured so you can interact and learn about their countries.

Proximity to thames is also an advantage.

Enjoy your stay.

Room Tip: U can pick any rooms are quite and nice.

I stayed in Club Quarters St Pauls for an overnight business trip. It looks very small from the outside but it is a wonderful hotel, great atmosphere and good rooms. It is so close to St Pauls you could almost touch it from the hotel. It is central for some great restaurants as well. The breakfast in the morning is fantastic (although maybe if I wasnt staying for business too pricey).

First off the front desk clerk Ken went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed our stay at Club Quarters St. Paul's. We were impressed by his effortless warmth and professional handling of our needs. After traveling all day to be greeted by graciousness, we definitely choose the right hotel.
The location was great, next to St Paul's and plenty of good restaurants and pubs. Check out Ludgate square. Also Ludgate hill, turns into fleet street, check out St Brides Church ,inspiration for the design of wedding cakes.
The breakfast is L14 and convenient. But there are many charming shops and restaurant in Ludgate Square. the entrance is directly across the street from the hotel. Order a full English Breakfast, and will probably less expensive and authentic.
Enjoy Marty Santry

Room Tip: Ask for a view of St Pauls.

A 2 night weekend stay in November. I felt that at £119 a night the single room was overpriced. It was nice but small. No breakfast included, though there is a Pret and an Eat opposite which was useful. breakfast at the hotel is way too pricey at £14. The location was fine, though St Paul's tube is not the best situated on the network.

However, the biggest problem is that I have never stayed anywhere with such thin walls. You can hear every drawer being opened in the next room, every conversation, you name it and you can hear it!! It is a problem at all times but particularly people coming back at 2am on a Sat night was bothersome. If you want a good night's sleep - stay elsewhere. Very noisy.

I stayed for business. A clean but small room for the price. It felt a little like a private hospital room with a bathroom squeezed into the corner. No noise problem on the 6th floor so that was OK. Biggest disappointment was the breakfast service. I had to keep going to find staff rather than them coming to the table. Breakfast when it arrived was delicious but it didn't turn out to be relaxing.

Room Tip: Go high to avoid traffic noise

With paper thin walls - you can literally hear the person in the next room brushing their teeth, and poor quality glazing, you need earplugs to get to, and to remain alseep.

I stay hear most weeks because of corporate deal which i am literally counting the weeks until I can cancel.
