My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in April 2013, nice hotel friendly staff and a great location. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

The location was nice and the hotel is placed within east reach of Covent Garden.

Located right by St. Pauls, it was easy to find and check in was easy too with a number of self check in stations as well as the desk. The staff were very attentive and helped out with the check in process. Our room was a corner room overlooking St. Pauls on the fifth floor. We had booked a queen bed and when we arrived there was two separate beds. One call to the desk and they came up whilst we were out, and on our return the beds had been bolted together into one huge bed which was very comfy. The room was clean and well organised, bathroom too.

The wi-fi was free and easy to connect - no hassle, everywhere in the hotel and the lounge area was brilliant with free, good, help yourself fresh ground coffee, biscuits, snacks, water and pop. There was new empty plastic bottles and water dispensing which I found great as I could grab a couple, fill them and take them with me for the day. The lounge also has plenty of free to use internet connected computing, including a very nice iMac and one with free printing. Breakfast is not included in the reasonable rate (for the location) but there are plenty of good reasonably priced breakfast options nearby if you don't want to use the hotel restaurant.

Overall, a brilliant stay. I would definitely stay here again when I revisit London.

Room Tip: We had a corner room on the fifth floor, great view and certainly big enough for us.

This hotel has an excellent location, within extremely close proximity to St Pauls Cathedral, the staff were extremely welcoming and the lounge/reception area was comfortable with a pleasant atmosphere. Although some areas of the hotel room such as up to date upholstery were lacking slightly, there are many very positive aspects including free water bottles, location, friendly staff and a baggage deposit facility. Overall an excellent hotel, would definitely stay there again.

The pros: location, steps from St. Pauls, very helpful staff, willing to hold your luggage for the day, the lobby extras. By this I mean the lobby is a wonderful hang out place, so while my husband worked i could hang out here and use the free wifi. They have complimentary drinks, great espresso machine, sodas, even empty water bottles for you to fill and bring with you! There were nuts and small cookies, nice things that made the visit! I just plopped down in front of the fire place and was happy to rest!
I walked to the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace (took about an hour) but was WONDERFUL! Beautiful gardens along the way but that's a separate review.

The cons: walls are paper thin (we were on 4th floor), rooms very small even the suite (not worth the $, unless you want the fridge, micro, and a table for 4... the bedroom area was still so small it was hard to get in and out of bed from the opposite side) .

We had a party to attend up in London and so rather than having to leave early to get the train back home we opted to make a weekend of it and stay over. My boyfriend found Club Quarters on one of the Hotel sites and it was 50 yards from the party venue so spot on for what we needed. I think we paid £130 for a double room but that might have been a deal.

The hotel is literally a stones throw (even with my girly throwing) from St Pauls. The staff were very friendly and helpful although there is an automated check in and out so you can pretty much do all that yourself and was all very efficient. We didn't try out the bar but the whole area looked very pleasant with comfortable seats. There is also a fitness room.

We were in room 225 and it was right at the end of a corridor overlooking the back. It was extremely quiet and we weren't disturbed by traffic noise or noise from other guests at all, you really forgot you were in the centre of London. The room was large and clean, the bed comfortable, shower lovely and hot etc etc - all the usual things you want. I suspect they cater for a lot of business people in that part of town and the room did have a large desk area with TV screen plusUSB and other sockets to plug laptops etc into. It looked like it might have had a speaker to plug an iPod into but we didn't try it out. Wifi was free and easy to connect to. We had a tea/coffee making facilities in the room and if I had two minor grips it would be that they only provided two teabags and as we are both tea drinkers it would have been nice to have a few more. We could probably have asked but there is a Simply M&S a few doors away so we bought our own (it's open until 7pm so quite useful). Second minor grip was that I used the desk area as a dressing table where there were sockets as I need to straighten my hair but there is no mirror there. There was a full length mirror in the room but no socket close to it so I had to try and manage with a small mirror I had with me. (There was a hairdryer in the bathroom and a second in the draw if required). Having said that on our floor there was a guest services room which contained the ice vending machine plus a washing machine/tumble drier and an iron so really useful if you were staying a few days and needed to wash a few things through. There was also a water dispenser on the floor with plastic bottles rather than cups which was a good idea.

Checkout was a noon so no need to hurry and breakfast was served until 11am. There was an option of continental which was around £9+ but we went for the full version at £13+ which included juice, fresh fruit, pastries, toast, cereals and full English/Eggs Benedict/Eggs Florentine/Scrambled Egg and Smoked salmon. Again, the staff were very friendly and we could really have just had breakfast and skipped lunch as there was plenty.

As I mentioned the hotel is very close to St Paul's and we had intended to hop over to Oxford Street in the afternoon and do some shopping but it was a lovely sunny afternoon and in the end opted to stay local as it was so pleasant around there and wandered over the Millenium Bridge, which is just by St Pauls, to the South bank where the Tate Modern and Globe are situated. The whole area has seen a massive amount of regeneration since I was last there so there is far bit to do right on the doorstep. There were also a lot of cafes and restaurants close by if you don't want to eat at the hotel so spoilt for choice on that front. St Pauls underground station is only a few minutes walk away.

We would certainly have no hesitation in staying there again, or recommending it. An excellent option in the centre of London.

I stayed here for 2 nights during a business trip to London and was accompanied by my wife. The room was spacious and pleasantly decorated. The rooms had fantastic amenities like iPod Player and docking station for laptops, in addition to free Wi-Fi connection. The room we stayed had basic kitchenette.

The lobby area had complimentary tea/coffee all day long. Plus they had water dispensaers on each floor with sealed bottles, this was complimentary too!

The location of the hotel is great as it is situated next to St. Paul's cathedral with loads of restaurants and pubs around. Tube station is just a couple of mins walk.

Highly recommended !

Club Quarters hotels are fairly consistent - this one is no exception. Simple, inconspicuous entrance and minimal lobby. The rooms are clean, functional and comfortable for overnights but not designed for lounging. Restaurant adjacent with decent English breakfast; fitness room on lower level. The entrance is steps from St. Paul's and a few blocks from tube stops, close to the Millennium Bridge and business district of the city. Don't be dismayed by the noisy, cluttered bus stop at the entrance to the hotel - once you're inside it's fine. Lots of rooms at the quiet back side of the building - I didn't hear a thing all night. Internet is pervasive but slow. Overall a great location and decent value.

Room Tip: Request front side for view of cathedral; back side for quiet.
