“Good value hotel - the Cote Brasserie next door is the best part!”
Reviewed October 21, 2011

Had a short business trip so was booked in for a 2 day stay; I have stayed at the hotel before as well as their sister hotel on Gracechurch street. I knew what to expect from a Club Quarters and to be honest the stay was up to expectations. The room I had was large, clean and comfortable if a little soulless! Unfortunately one of the 2 lifts was out of service which meant some long delays at times.
The best part about staying here is the Cote Brasserie next door and accessible through the hotel; I had breakfast there both days and the food was excellent quality, good value and the staff and service was very friendly. Full English breakfast at 7.50 Pounds Sterling was terrific and you will pay 20 Pounds Sterling for the same at other hotels.

Was there with my girlfriend. Very large room, good service and very nice staff at a convenient price for London standards. Definitely go for it.

This was a great location and a very nice hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, but the coffee machine in the lobby was broken for a few days. The room I had seemed exceptionally small, but I think I was given a club sized room when I had booked a standard room. It was very clean, and quiet. The bottle water dispensers were excellent, but we couldn't turn up the heat in our room. We had to request a separate heater.

I last stayed in Club Quarters about eight years ago at the Gracechurch St building, so my expectations for my first stay in the St Pauls premises were quite high. Whilst the very efficient check in process remains the same, I was disappointed overall with the experience. My room was pleasant enough but very small and was definitely showing its age - the shower room more so than the bedroom. Whilst the quality of furnishings, fixtures and fittings was a notch up from an IBIS, the basic facilities are pretty much the same. The one thing I never experience in an IBIS was a regrettable intrusion here, namely a significant amount of noise from neighbouring rooms - particularly toilets flushing and showers running. If you are a heavy sleeper or exhausted from a day spent sightseeing then this may not be an issue for you but if you want an early night or a lie in in the morning you may struggle. If you are happy to risk the noise for the benefits of the location, then this is still a reasonable hotel, but I'd suggest not paying more than around £130 per night.

Excellent business hotel - simple but adequate.

I appreciate the iPod/iPhone dock speakers, minifridge and microwaves in room. The free wifi, coffee machine and bottled water is also handy. Small but well appointed gym. Comfortable lounge area.

Service has always been impeccable-- love the automated check in/out!

This is without any doubt the best hotel we have stayed at in London. Mind you, we have paid less, but when it comes to good value for money this is great, and we will probably return to this hotel the next time around. The room was equipped with microwave oven, kettle (with tea and coffee), fridge (empty) and spacious enough to easily take three people. The idea of having chilled and filtered water in the hotel corridor and providing empty bottles to fill is terrific, especially when setting out to explore London in 28 centrigrades! The surroundings are very good, with less than 100 meters to St Pauls Cathedral and Millenium Bridge, and if you get a room out the back (and not facing the street) there is no noice from the traffic. Several good restaurants within minutes, and at least three small shops for buying food and drinks.
Connected to the hotel is the good value restaurant Côte Brasserie were we had a very nice three course dinner for only £10,95. Don't miss that one!
