Spent a pleasant Sunday afternoon on the Tattershall Castle 27/08/2012. We always visit the Tattershall when we are in London. Best spot in the capital for a relaxing lunch, They serve excellent food and a good pint of beer. all at reasonable prices for London. You also get great views of the london Eye and the houses of parlament, ( these come free )

Promised to take the kids for something to eat on a boat moored on the Thames. Arrived at Tattershall Castle at 6:10 p.m. to be met by a rather curt security guard saying children were not allowed on deck after 6:00, on asking if we were allowed to eat in the downstairs bar we were informed that children were not allowed their at any time. None of this is reflected on their web site. So dissapointed we left to find a pub, which after all is what Tattershall Castle is, that doesn't have such dated restrictions.

You cant beat going her for a drink and bite to eat on a gorgeous summer day with superb views of the river Thames. What a great way to spend a day on a boat that is a bar and restaurant and see the London Eye and Big Ben. It is also located in between Westminister and the Embankment undergounds so is very accessible.
