“Love this pub!”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

Have been frequenting the Camel for years and always had a great time in there - the food is excellent - proper pub food, great choices, decent size portions that always arrive quickly and the service is great - very friendly attentive staff. Recommend the Chicken & Mushroom pie or Cous Cous with Goats Cheese and roasted peppers on the lunchtime specials. Beer garden is lovely and it's in a great spot on Lower Marsh which is altogether a worthwhile visit whilst in the Southbank area or enroute to Waterloo Stn.

“Excellent local pub”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

A great find for tourists who want to visit an actual local pub that serves real food to everyday customers. They also cater to vegetarians and vegans, making it accessible to people with a range of dietary needs.

“Nice Burgers”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

Had a quality chilli burger and fries here the other weekend before my xmas party,
burger was cooked medium and had pinkness to it. With the added chilli con on top of the burger it was a flavour experience. Not the best burger I've ever had but pretty good no the less!

“Hats Off to the Camel!”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

Firstly, check out the hats behind the bar. 'Nuff said!
The inside of the venue is a nice take on a traditional boozer. It's a tad on the small side and can get rather crowded at peak times. I've visited the Camel loads of times and always had a good time. There's a little garden out the back for the smokers. Sadly, due to the very high walls it doesn't see much in the way of sunlight but it's pleasant enough. Inside they have a few TV's showing Sky Sports. As mentioned earlier, i enjoy going for a pint in The Camel. There's always a friendly atmosphere there and it's within staggering distance back to Waterloo. Cheers!
