Had a quality chilli burger and fries here the other weekend before my xmas party,
burger was cooked medium and had pinkness to it. With the added chilli con on top of the burger it was a flavour experience. Not the best burger I've ever had but pretty good no the less!

Firstly, check out the hats behind the bar. 'Nuff said!
The inside of the venue is a nice take on a traditional boozer. It's a tad on the small side and can get rather crowded at peak times. I've visited the Camel loads of times and always had a good time. There's a little garden out the back for the smokers. Sadly, due to the very high walls it doesn't see much in the way of sunlight but it's pleasant enough. Inside they have a few TV's showing Sky Sports. As mentioned earlier, i enjoy going for a pint in The Camel. There's always a friendly atmosphere there and it's within staggering distance back to Waterloo. Cheers!

Affordable pub meals near waterloo station. The food wasn't bad. It wasn't fantastic either. But with the pricing for their lunch meals, Camel and Artichoke is better than three dots, though my four dots aren't the best four dots ever.
I should mention the friendly service.

What a disappointment. I chose this pub for lunch on the back of the reviews on TripAdvisor. I also work close by and spotted that they had recently decorated the place. The pub itself is fairly nice inside, a proper public house rather than a dreadful chain establishment. Thats where the positive comments end. The food was exceptionally average. A poorly cooked sirloin steak that had more fat than meat, anemic oven chips, a limp salad. Even the Coke from the pump was almost tasteless. The two staff were having a great time laughing with each other but paid very little attention to us or other customers. Sadly, I would not recommend this pub and certainly will not be heading back.
