I start all my Starbucks reviews like this – the food and drink is all the same - that’s why I go there! As such, I will only mention the quality of the food and drink if it is unusually good or bad. Generally, my review will focus on the atmosphere, location, layout and staff quality.
This store can be hard to find, being located on the first floor at the southern end of Paddington Station, in the food-court/shopping area. There are signs about, so look for them and you will find it. It has nice big windows overlooking the floor below, but unfortunately that is just the shopping area, not the station itself.
The store is always busy. Staff did a decent job of getting the orders filled, and the majority of the customers seem to be take-away, so you can always find a seat. Limited daylight gets into the store, so it seemed just a little gloomy. Great for travellers on the National Rail and a reasonable spot to sit with a meal, although the through-traffic is sometimes off-putting and does not make for a great atmosphere.
