“Could get 5 star with bigger rooms and nicer reception”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2014

It is a nice hotel in a very nice area of London , a 15/20 minutes walk to Harrod’s or Kensington Park. From the outside or from the reception it does not look too pretty but inside the room are nice and recently renewed. We did book a 20 sq mt room , bigger than the regular one but still it was too small. The room was clean and was serviced twice a day. Coffee machine and 32” digital tv were there. Wifi connection in the room was free of charge when we were there but in other months there is an expensive surcharge. The internet speed was very slow. We were on the 4th floor with a nice outside view and the room was not noisy. The hotel does not have a restaurant but is possible to have breakfast in the morning. There are many pizzas and simple restaurant close by, better ones are a 5/10 minutes walk away. If you prefer there is a big supermarket just around the corner where you can find everything you need. There are two tube stations close by so it is easy to get everywhere in London in a short time. If you arrive from Heathrow by taxi the hotel is on the right direction and you do not have to cross the town. All in all we had a nice stay.....with a bigger room it would have been perfect. For e few days and with not too much luggage it is acceptable but for longer staying the room really would be too small.

Room Tip: Absolutely book the 20 sq mt bigger rooms with outside view

We were in London for my birthday weekend to see Cirque du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall and a visit to the Natural History Museum. This hotel was very well placed for both, being within easy walking distance.
We had booked a family room but were informed on check in that there was a problem with this room and were given two adjoining rooms (one double, one twin) instead, which was not a problem for us. The rooms were a good size and spotlessly clean. The beds are the most comfortable I've ever experienced in a hotel, would love to know which mattress/topper they use! The room was really quiet and we weren't disturbed at all by any outside noise.
Also booked breakfast when making the reservation and thought that this was really good value for money. A good range of cereals, cold meats and cheeses, yoghurt, fruit, muffins and croissants, plus the usual English breakfast selection which was nicely cooked, hot and tasty.
A special mention has to be made for the staff at this hotel. Not one member of staff, from reception to the waiting staff to housekeeping, would let you pass without a friendly greeting and a big smile. They are an absolute credit to the brand and should be commended for doing such a fantastic job.
We had a pleasant, comfortable stay and will definitely book again.

Just returned from a weekend in London and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. I guess it helps it being a modern building. Booked a Superior size room - well it was the sale so thought why not!
Approx 10mins walk from Gloucester Rd tube and in a quiet area, although we had a front facing room, didn't get disturbed by the traffic at all.
Room itself was excellent size with good shower (always a key) and enough storage for the weekend. Breakfast was the normal buffet-style but good quality... yolks were still runny even though were in those metal covered trays.
All in all a good hotel, that's well priced with very good amenities!
