Description: Built in the 1800s and originally a branch of National Westminster Bank, The Jugged Hare opened in November 1996. It enjoys a prime position just moments away from Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and the King’s Road. The Jugged Hare takes its name from the traditional British dish where the hare is hung and then slowly cooked in an earthenware pot. We’ve adapted this dish to create our own Jugged Hare Pie, gently braising the meat with celery, carrots and onions in a rich port and redcurrant gravy. As a Fuller’s Ale & Pie House, we are famous for selling a range of fantastic homemade pies and perfectly conditioned award-winning ales, along with a range of pub classics. We’ve always got at least four cask-conditioned ales on tap and we brew them just six miles from here, at Fuller’s in Chiswick, London’s last remaining traditional family brewery.

Wecoming old-style pub with dark wood interior, plenty of wooden tables and good atmosphere. Wide range of Fullers beers plus guest ales. Food is good and solid, and majors on substantial pies, the house special being hare pie, but plenty of options. Six of us visited for lunch and between us tried 5 diifferent pies - all of which came with veg and a choice of potatoes - I think we all made the good choice of chips. Not great cuisine but certainly hit the spot. Excellent, knowledgeable and helpful service. Cost me £18 for a very good hare pie and two pints of bitter, including service. Will certainly come back.

We love the atmosphere here and the staff are very friendly. The food is pretty average, so as long as you're OK with microwaved numbers and don't expect too much, you won't be too disappointed.

The dark wood interior, comfortable chairs and soaring ceilings makes this a great place to settle in for a drink with friends. If you're a tourist, it a true English pub experience in the heart of Victoria. Perfect for a drink before or after one of the local shows - it's just 5 minutes walk from both Wicked and Billy Elliot and beats the socks off the chain pubs closer to the station. I'm also a sucker for the gorgeous, overflowing flower filled window boxes outside. They draw me in. Fantastic!

They have lovely beers and ales on tap and anything you could desire in the way of spirits. I recommend the honey ale - delicious.

They also hire out the 2nd floor (with interior balcony!) for events.
