Went there on a recommendation with 3 friends prior to a show. We had an excellent meal, popadoms followed by main meal and a beer. Service was excellent, very good presentation and we all enjoyed the meal and didn't hesitate to leave a tip as service was not included. I would go there again. I cost us approx £20 per head which was very reasonable.

A delightful find on a small street near our East London hotel. Knowing that London is famous for its Indian food, it seems that the worst Indian food in London is better than the best here in the states.

Well, Dil Chad was a yummy experience, and they had my long time favorite dish, "dhansak" which is basically a lentil-based curry, some might say a bit sour & sweet, and thick, and, oh yes, so very delicious. We accompanied this dish with several others; chicken tikka masala, some saag (spinach), cauliflower, various breads, and a bunch of Kingfisher beers.

Prices were reasonable, service was fine. A good crowd was inside... seemed as though everyone was enjoying themselves.

It was the perfect way to spend a cold... very cold, London evening. Thanks friends, we'll be back!

I was first introduced to Dil Chad by a colleague way back in 2009 and after consistently having great service and good food over countless visits I feel it only right to post a review. You will find Dil Chad down one of the quaint alleyways just off Bishopsgate and it's well worth seeking out. There is a good selection of starters and the usual array of main course curries, plus a good selection of chef's specials. In the off chance that you can't find something on the menu that you fancy but know what type of dish it is that you want the chef will be happy to try and create this for you. The restaurant is licensed and has a choice of draught lager or bottled, a fair wine list and full range of spirits. The service is always good, even when the place is very busy. On many occasions I have known people to wait for 20 minutes or so for a table to come free when they could easily choose to go elsewhere. Whilst not a sole reason for going, for the lone diner who has access to Sky Go, the restaurant does have a WiFi feed that is sufficient for you to stream live football - a good curry, a beer and foorball at the same time - what could be better?

Another great thing about the restaurant is that they will do a 'take-away', so when you've been working late and don't feel like 'eating in', you can grab a curry and eat it back at 'the digs'.

When I am staying overnight in the Liverpool Street area I always feel that I should try some of the other restaurants in the Spitalfields area - but I always seem to go back again, and again...

Been here a few times over the years, and although this sizeable restaurant isn't much to look at, the food is consistently good. Three of us had pop's, starters and mains recently and all were great. The lamb shank was delicious.

Staff are friendly and helpful, and the location is excellent for a quick dash to the station.

Well worth a visit.
