“Quietly perfect”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 6, 2012

Went for an after work catch up with a friend. Cosy, well priced and generally lovely. The olives were AMAZING the hot chocolate was delicious (not necessarily a great combo tho!) and the wine list was varied. Couldn't have asked for more and will be going back very soon.

“Smart bar restaurant good choice pre show.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2012 via mobile

We arrived around 6pm on a Friday night, it was busy but far from overcrowded. Really pleasant atmosphere and a really welcome change from the chain bars and restaurants that surround it.

Service was not quick but each staff member was polite and attentive. The wines are very well priced and there is a good, varied choice. £8 corkage is fair on top of the very reasonable take away prices listed.

We had the ham hock and a plate of Parma & mozzarella. Both were fresh, tasty and perfectly sized.

I would definitely go back and would recommend this as an ideal, unstuffy pre theatre meal/drinks.

“Great coffee and music”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2012

Notes really does do what it says on the tin - and does it very well! Don't expect any grandes or syrups - Notes excels in smaller cups of excellent, rich, smooth coffees and have a range of fabulous cakes and pastries to accompany your cup of liquid gold. it isn't cheap but the emphasis is on quality rather than volume. Music is a great variety of jazz, soul and funk music played at reasonable level without drowning conversation. It does get packed but you can easily get a seat earlier in the morning.

“Prosecco and persiflage”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 18, 2012

Spent a smashing Saturday here last week, catching up with college friends and laughing the afternoon away over a bottle of Prosecco. The price, divided by three, was quite reasonably.

Only issue was the service. Our waiter was charming, but we were squeezed into a little table at the back and had very little wiggle room. Giving the order and ordering the bill took absurdly long.

“best coffee in zone 1!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 9, 2012

They pay great attention to the selection and preparation of coffee and thus, serve the best coffee in Central London. It is smooth, strong, fruity and very flavourful. The staff is very friendly and although the amount of choice is limited they also have some nice salads and sandwiches.
