“Lovely chilled out coffee and cakes”
Reviewed March 8, 2014 via mobile

We wanted a quieter coffee shop to relax and chat and on a Saturday afternoon this fitted the bill very well. We had a flat white, apple & beet root juice (very pink) and an earl grey. All were lovely as we're the cakes and brownies we tried.

Really liked the fact we could sit without feeling crowded or rushed.

Reviewed May 7, 2013 via mobile

The main reason why I like this place - their thick hot chocolate, so you can enjoy the real one!
And don't forget to take extremely delicious muffins!
The service is really good and price is fine-you pay for a high quality DELICIOUS products

“Proper food at a proper price!”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

Our visit to the Brunswick Centre: a simple Greek salad plus a Thai red veg stew - just perfect for a sunny winter's day - for under £10, with excellent friendly customer service thrown in.

“Be warned the hot chocolate isn't the norm!”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

Stopped here today for lunch great sandwiches but just to warn you they will ask if you want your hot chocolate thick or milky, having never been asked such a question I just said as it comes. When it turned up it looked and tasted like melted chocolate, I'm not kidding you! I took it back to the counter and apologised that I hadn't realised when they asked the question and could they make it a milky one they did so at no extra dispite this turning my regular hot chocolate into a large.

“deluxe fast food in clean modern ambience”
Reviewed October 13, 2011

This Apostrophe in Mayfair conveniently located just off Bond St is probably similar to most others in that it provides higher quality bakery snacks and drinks in a clean modern surrounds.

There is a long service bar as you enter with attendants behind serving you your chosen bakery before one proceeds to one of the tables which are spread around in reasonably spacious area, something which can be rare for these set ups. The chairs are modern and functional, a mix of chairs and stools or benches whilst the lighting is muted and not glaringly bright, creating a slightly warmer environment.

The salmon in a croissant (or milk) bread was one of the best I have had and the choice of juices varied and typical of this sort of venue. I hear the chain was very successfully set up in the 90s by an entrepreneur keen on providing superior quality bakery and breads based on French methods, much like some other franchises one has seen sprouting up in London, Paul amongst many. It provides much more than that nowadays of course but the crux of its offering or the stronger or perhaps tastier ones are probably still bakery based.

Since this first visit I have returned once more and it has remained high quality for what Apostrophe serves. Certainly a good addition to any neighbourhood.
