Thanks Tom. Thanks for this lovely lunch. We felt like we were at home. We are not surprise because we were looking for a place exactly like this. So we are really happy that we came here and we enjoyed your food. It was tasty and big portions. Fresh and home made food. For sure we´ll come back. All was perfect! Greeting from North London

We had such a great time at the Green Pea!!
We had booked after reading the reviews below and we had a gorgeous sunday roast: a choice of : roast beef, roast lamb, lamb shank, home boiled ham, and chicken... just heaven!
The plates were big but, yet, we managed to almost clear them up, as it was so good; The gravy was perfect too.

On top of that, Tom's warm welcome made us feel at home, he's such a nice host!! and the place is very cosy too : old tables, sofas, ....
The Green Pea also have suggestions for vegetarians that I will try next time: they sound very promising!

A hidden gem in Trafalgar road!
We'll definitely come back !

When we showed up for lunch there was no one to be found at first to help us. We seated ourselves and chatted to a couple of folks who both seemed to know the proprietor, so positive marks for the friendly feel.

Negative marks, though, for lack of organization. We were told that two staff members had called in sick and we'd be better off going somewhere else for lunch. It was a bit chaotic and made me wonder if there was more to the story of two staff being sick at once.

I'll give this review two stars because on a good day they probably do well. But two stars is probably generous when you are sent away from a bit of a chaotic situation - and a place that we had hoped to eat based on its top reviews here.

we visited the Green Pea last night. Lively pub with friendly staff, even the locals say hello and are happy to engage you in conversation.

Tom is a great charactor nothing is too much trouble for him. Very attentive but not over the top. Great sense of humour. Good Guiness

Food... OMG it was so nice, hot plates and hot food. Lots of veggies and the pies are to die for. I had the steak and guiness one. Yummy

I live in Kent so not local but already sorting out a date to go for Sunday roast.

Well Done Tom xxxx

Found this little place whilst visiting the Cutty Sark thanks (again) to TA. From the outside its hard to see as it appears to be part of the pub but when you go in it is a separate venue. The Irish owner greeted us and sat us down, then sat with us and ran through the menu. 4 or 5 different pies, fish and chips (cod and haddock) and a few smaller dishes to chose from. So no menu, or at least we weren't given one. Very friendly and chatty. We all picked something different (my partners vegetarian). We all agreed our meals were superb. Food, deserts, drinks and coffees.....£65 or 4. Yes not a typo! In London, 4 great meals and we spent almost 4 hours sitting and chatting through the afternoon. I can understand why it's so highly rated on TA. A real gem.
