“Great location, well designed, good service...very good option”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

The hotel is still brand new, well designed with great service.
The hotel is in a very convenient location close to the Parliament buildings and Big Ben, Westminster Abbey and Royal Parks . If you like to walk, also a ready access to Trafalgar square and Piccadilly circus. Maybe it is more business-oriented hotel but it is a good location for a tourist trip.
We booked an executive suite, beautiful, large room, with complimentary coffee (Nespresso machine) and tea. Wonderful linen and pillows and outstanding bathroom (the only problem is that the air dryer can not be used in it).
The staff was very helpful. Doormen are excellent.
Breakfast was ok although service is slow.
Slow free internet- fast connection has to be payed extra. Noise from the street (but better view and light)

The front desk welcome is superb - exceptionally professional but very warm and friendly. Hollie Redmond Guests Relations Manager is fantastic. The rooms are of a very high standard, stylish and spotlessly clean with luxurious bathrooms. The minibar is stocked with delicious drinks and (this may sound weird!) but the glasses are really crisp and sharp and make drinking a celebratory glass of wine extra enjoyable! The beds are EXTREMELY comfortable. Perfect. Great location too just set back from Westminster so very quiet but only five to ten minutes walk to the North bank. Highly recommended.

Having lived in London years ago, I wanted to ensure we had the best experience when we came back. I stumbled upon this brand new hotel and thought it would be ideal...I was not wrong. The staff was great and attentive. The room was spectacular, with numerous comforts. The location is ideal for anyone wanting to be in the heart of London, highly suggest!

This is a first class hotel. The rooms were new, compact, clean and comfortable. The concierge and front desk staff were excellent. The food in the restaurant was very good. The location is close to the Palace. The underground station is across the street and the Hop on Hop off bus stop is on the corner.

The hotel is still brand new, well designed with great service. The location is superb, just across an underground station. The only thing they should change is the shower, the sloapes are done in a way, where after you take a shower your whole bathroom floor is under water. This needs a fix, otherwise perfect.

The new Intercontinental was our base for both nights of my birthday weekend in London, and I booked them as Reward nights. This is a fantastic hotel that oozes class everywhere, like the full length mirrored doors in the lifts (with no fingerprints on them!), the glass wall in the room with built in TV, the ubiquitous Nespresso machine and the Molton Brown toiletries.
I was slightly disappointed that, on arrival, I had to press the lady at Reception for an upgrade, but this seems to be par for the course with IHG these days, when it used to be automatic for Platinum members.
However, they redeemed themselves with a gorgeously delicious Birthday cake that was delivered to our room next day.
We had a bar lunch in the Blue Boar Smokehouse and it was really good and reasonably priced.
The location is brilliant being so close to St James underground and Victoria Street and that was the reason we booked it rather that the Park Lane one.
I wouldn't hesitate to come back to the Intercontinental.

The hotel is located in a very convenient location close to the parliamentary centre, the palace & Westminster whilst also providing ready access to the strand, Trafalgar square etc.
Although relatively new the rooms on the club floor are fairly spacious for central London. It also just opposite the underground station of St James Park.
It is obviously a business hotel but does cater for the tourists - as we were on this trip.
The only downside was a broken blind that refused to close all the way. It was disappointing that it has obviously been like this for some time but had still not been fixed.
Breakfast in the club room was fine although service a little slow if you wanted eggs cooked to order.
Would recommend if you want a central location with access to the tube & all the attractions around Westminster.
