Went in half term dear god what a mistake and never again. Man I have never seen such a seething mass of humanity. The gods of commercialism have created a shopping nirvana. Never felt so overwhelmed or unfortable. You couldn't stand in one place for more than a minute without being nudged or buffeted. One foot wrong and you are swallowed up by the vortex of this terrifying diaspora of man kind. London prices, endless cues, shopping chaos. To eat near impossible to get a seat impossibe. Why oh why did we go here. It sucks, it's hell.

Visiting for the first time I was expecting an impressive shopping centre. What I found was a crowded scruffy shopping centre with dirty toilets with no locks on the doors. The signage was poor and I did not see any staff to ask. I found the environment confusing. Meal with had there was very mediocre. Not worth a trip.

From the moment you walk in the door, it seems quite a good place to shop, until you go to use the toilet and there's a very long queue and you can smell the toilets before you can see them! There's always toilet paper all over the floor and no soap in the dispensers. Don't bother trying to find a seat in the food court. There are huge tables the size of a small living room with about six small seats around the edge, then you end up getting lost in a labyrinth of tables on the raised part of the food court seating area. Even when you do find an empty seat, it's usually got somebody's bag on it or as soon as you sit down you're told "Somebody is sitting there" - Well they weren't when I sat down just now! Westfield security staff turn a blind eye to the fact that almost half of their seats are "saved" for people - all of whom didn't return during the 15 minutes it took me to have something to eat. Several shops have very large panes of glass which have been broken - probably where fights have broken out between the local thugs - which reminds you that you are still in East London and you haven't been transported to Planet Westfield.

Shops and staff are good and everyone is helpful and friendly. But the new parking charges will stop me going back. Up to recently you could park for 2 hours for free which was enough time to do a quick shop or return goods . Now the first two hours is £2.50 .Recently I have had to return things twice ( John Lewis both times ) . This means that buying and returning has cost £10 on top of the price of goods and travel. This is not acceptable and in future I will go to Brent Cross.

I love shopping here, there is everything you want from budget to luxury. You can spend a day here, to shop, eat, bowl and go cinema, all under one roof. Weekends after 1pm can be extremely busy so best to avoid these times. The only disappointing point of the centre is the recent changes in parking rates.
