Fab show but NOT for children, very hot in the theatre but we had a great time. At the end everyone was up dancing and clapping and we were lucky enough to have half price tickets which we collected from the box office.

“Not one of the better shows”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

We went to see this to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday, and for the first time ever, had a box. We were warned we would have a restricted view, but it wasn't that bad. We were enjoying the novelty of having a nice space to watch the musical from. The show started and we weren't that impressed, but neither of us liked to tell each other.... It wasn't as polished and seamless as any other show in the west end that we have been to. It has been produced in a spoofy way, there is a lack of imagination with set, the actors wernt believable, and It seemed we were watching a local amateur production.
By half time, we had picked up on each others loud sighs and fidgetiness and agreed it was the worst show we had seen. We wanted to leave but as it was a special occasion, we felt we shouldn't as it was the only time we would be in a box. It did get better.. Although that may have something to do with the Alcohol we downed at half time... The cast didn't get the audience going .. It's eighties music, and not a toe tapped in the whole theatre... What a shame.

“Gutsy, hard core classic.”

An amazing show in a small theatre. If you were any closer you woud be in the band. You are really part of the show. Heart felt performances, not as glitzy as some London shows, but definitely one of our favourites.

“Good fun for a night out”
Reviewed July 22, 2013 via mobile

I got the tickets to this on a theatre and show deal so wasn't very expensive compared to some London shows I've seen. The sears were good too, we were front row of the dress stalls.

The theatre is fairly small and that adds to the atmosphere, you're never going to be very far away from the stage. The bar was ok and there was a balcony to sit outside.

The show itself is a story about two hopefuls trying to make it big in Hollywood infused with plenty of well known 80s songs. I think all in all a good way to spend an evening if you're into your music.

The only criticism I'd have is that there isn't any air conditioning and it was very uncomfortably hot towards the end of the show. But we are in the middle of a heat wave.

“Loved it”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

Its not a "serious" show. Its not a musical that takes its self seriously. The story line is loose BUT the music, the dancing and the crowd interaction made it a really enjoyable and fun show.
The cast were all good, the band were excellent as was the music.
I would definately recommend it for a FUN night out (assuming you like 80s American rock music)
