There was a group of 8 plus a 1.5 year old.
They didn't have a high chair which was a bit of a pain. And the tables were a bit close to each other and that's all the bad points I can give really.
On the plus side the staff were really nice and helpful.
The man at the door gave us 2 rounds of free drinks and 30% off our bill.
The food was lovely, I should know I've been to a lot of India restaurants.
That's about it really what else could you want?
Isn't that right Elliott.

Brick Lane is a tourist trap, not authentic. We had a reasonable meal , not special but acceptable. I really hate over - rated places to visit and this is one of them.

I visited Brick Lane that very nice place where there are many restaurants and bars. Beigel Bake arge Wholemeal Doughnut and Beigel - Smoke Salmon was very good but I asked them did you deliver at home they said no. But one of my friends told me that if you need any food form Brick Lane you can order on http://www.dinein.co.uk/34/restaurant/E1-Brick-Lane/english-delivery/beigel-bake-brick-lane.html

This restaurant is clearly only interested in large tables so they can slip more hidden charges on the bill.

Two of us arrived having been offered the usual free drink and money off rubbish and were quickly ushered to the smallest table in the establishment. The free drink was an unknown brand and not the cobra we asked for.

The table next to us was empty and as there was so little space on our tiny table my companion placed a plate on the table. A waiter came over and very rudely told him not to do that and to ask him to take plates in future. Of course this was impossible as he was too busy standing outside trying to lure more diners inside.

The food was below par and was taken away from us before we could finish eating it. The final straw was the service charge which was scribbled at the end of the bill. Not only were we unaware of this charge we certainly did not receive any kind of service. The whole experience really ruined an excellent day.

I know brick lane is now a tourist attraction and not the place you go for a great curry but there is absolutely no excuse for this kind of behaviour. Avoid at all costs.

We have never visited Brick Lane before and it is a MUST for all oriental and Indian food lovers..... The banter is great as you start your walk down the lane.... "deals" seem to get better the further you walk ..... until you reach the Brasserie...... the "salesman" outside is one of the best in the business..... I would love to know if he is employed by the restaurant, is part of the management, or is employed on a commission basis..... either way he has the same effect .... the restaurant was packed. Popadoms were great with a good selection of dips and chutneys and the usual selection of curry's were shared by all of us..... authentic and tasty and incredible value £60 for 4 of us including 2 "free drinks" (I think the wine was "watered down"!) 2 basic lagers
A visit to the Oriental supermarket across the road was worthwhile .
