“Free! And interesting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

This is really informative and explains the royal and maritime history of greenwich and the local area. Its definately worth a visit as its totally free and really interesting. Interactive stuff makes the history lesson lots more interesting for kids (and adults too!)

“Avoid the - Tourist Information centre!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 24, 2013

By and large, it is a good place for initial historical information and facilities like cafeteria and toilettes.
Avoid the "Tourist Information Centre" as they do not give you a map of Greenwich, and send you to the shop next door for information! All the leaflets around are for other money making venues.

“Your first stop in Greenwich”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2012

Take the boat down the Thames for a great view of the city, disembark at Greenwich and walk directly to the visitor center for orientation, great exhibits, clean restrooms, and helpful staff. For goodness sake, don't visit Greenwich without walking up the hill to the Observatory - very best views of London, great photo opportunities around every corner, and so much history!

“Very informative and child-friendly”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 24, 2011

The Tourist Information area is off to the side of this wonderful and very interactive centre. They provide plenty of details for tourists about the area, as well as free maps. The Centre contains all sorts of exhibits to do with Greenwich’s rich past, most of which allow and encourage some form of interaction – brilliant for the kids! A very interesting, helpful and family friendly place. Start your trip to Greenwich here!
