Love the fact they have a gym and swimming pool (half Olympic)
The bar was pretty good as well
Great place!

Thank you for your kind review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and found it so convenient for travelling around. The old London city wall runs through the middle of the hotel too!

Stayed Friday & Saturday night. Hotel was very clean and the staff were polite and helpful. Ideally situated, just a 1 minute walk to Tower Hill underground and only a short walk to Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. Checked in and out with no problems at all. £50 per night reserve on the mini bar was a bit high but as that is my only criticism of the hotel, I can't complain.

Stayed on Friday and Saturday night, we managed to get an upgrade to an exec room on the 10th floor with great views of tower bridge. Room had everything you need including a safe, decent toiletries etc. Check in and out was straight forward and quick. We had full english breakfast included, the choice was fairly good and tastey. Pool was good.

Stayed here for 2 nights as a start to a little honeymoon on 26th may which was a bank holiday.Last minute booking as advertised luxury 5* with spa...so the good points, the spa was worth the stay alone, beautiful 25m swimming pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi immaculately set out,the hotel staff very attentive and welcoming, the isis bar relaxed and not too extortionate like so many other london hotels.now onto the bad,im not sure but I suspect they have 2 types of double rooms and our one was probably the lesser one.no socket near the bed so cant charge up phones/tablet and have near by which I being an electrician find very strange.the 2 restaurants(the japanese one I especially wanted to try out)were closed, being shattered from long wedding weekend we ate in the empty one inside where they serve breakfast, which for 45 quid each was no cullanary delight.no movies to watch in room just terrestrial tv(is this normal now),asked the next morning for an umbrella but all been given out...how many do they have for guests this is 5*!!a nice stay,a nice hotel but how can they justify this rating or is it all dummed down to increase level of 5* hotels in london.

We booked to stay one night while attending a wedding nearby. On arrival, the doors in to the building were broken, not a good start! We checked in and were told we had a complimentary upgrade which was great. However, when we got to the room it seemed very standard so we weren't sure what the difference was. The room was generally well decorated and the bathroom was fine, except a little black mould around the bath. The toiletries were nice but the towels were quite worn and had clearly seen better days.
The bed was fairly solid and we both got a decent night's sleep as the room was quiet, despite overlooking the platform of fenchurch street station.
Breakfast the next morning was, again, ok but nothing special. Tables were very crammed in the restaurant so you felt as though you were sharing breakfast with the next door table. Things were missing from the table and it took a full 5 minutes for someone to bring me a teaspoon. It was busy but that was a bit much. The breakfast itself was fine, all cooked well, but seemed like it had come from the cash and carry.
Generally it wasn't bad value for the price but I wouldn't stay here again - there are nicer hotels in better locations.

Decided to book for a long weekend.
Hotel looked impressive and location looked ideal.
Whilst it was a nice hotel, it wasn't what we hoped for.
First problem was the check in. Staff were very slow and I got the impression weren't knowledgable about how to do it. A couple of the staff spent most of the time trying to help other colleagues.
Anyway, when we finally got served, I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to an executive room.
Was told the view and room would be better. Paid an extra £40 plus VAT.
Total waste of money and very very disappointing.
When we got to the room the view was of a large white tower crane right in front of the window.
There was a nice view if it hadn't been there.
When. I mentioned this to the reception staff they didn't seem that bothered and did nothing about it. I guess once they have your money they don't care.
The most annoying thing about the room was the bathroom.
Must have been a complete idiot who designed it.
The bath/shower has a large glass panel across the whole bath.
This wouldn't be a problem if it wasn't for the fact only one side of the glass slid, unfortunately the towel rail was behind the glass that didn't slide. It doesn't take much working out, you have to climb into the bath to reach the towels. Most stupid thing I have ever seen. The other thing in the bathroom was they only supply one bathrobe. Bit silly when the room is a double for two people. And on the last night the bathrobe had no cord so was pretty pointless. My partner commented that maybe it was to stop anyone taking it, more like they don't take enough notice of what they are doing.
Also the bed was the hardest bed I have ever come across, not the best nights sleep we have had at a hotel.
Only other annoyance is the location. Yes it is wonderful for tower bridge and the surrounding area but the local tube station doesn't really connect with much. You have to change at other stations to get anywhere else in London.
It would be easier to stay somewhere else and get the tube in to see the sites.
All in all nice but still could be better.

Room Tip: I wouldn't recommend spending the extra for the upgrade, vier was rubbish and the room still sma...
