Great 5 star hotel with everything you xan ask for, nice spa with sauna and 25 meter swimmingpool inhouse. Rooms are spacious and relatively big. Breakfast wss ok but the presentation could be better this is a 5 star hotel so expectations is high.

Location wise its a bit to far from piccadilly but again it deprnd what you are looking for during your stay

A fabulous stay, friendly, welcoming & a pleasure from the moment you step in to the moment you leave and the spa: the sauna, steam and heated marble was an absolute delight, totally fun & chilled weekend!

The staff were exceptional, couldn't do enough to make your stay pleasurable, really lovely to be treated with such care and attention.

Had a fabulous time!

Thank you!!

Stayed here before so knew we wouldn't be disappointed and we weren't. Got updgraded to Exec room on arrival - lovely. Room very swish, clean and nice to have air con. Staff VERY friendly. Leisure facilities really good. Breakfast delish although the tables were set too close together for comfort!! Did mention that on the feed back form.

I stayed at the Grange City Hotel on Saturday 17th March. I thought £131 was an amazing price for a five star hotel and I soon found out the catch...it's not really five star!

Now, apparently, when they dish out these stars it doesn't necessarily mean the more stars, the more luxury you'll get. The stars are also given for location, good transport links, facilities, etc.

Don't get me wrong, the hotel isn't a dump by any means. In fact, it's lovely and very pleasant. The rooms are very nice but not amazing. The views from the rooms ARE amazing, though.

The spa, which can be used before and after check in times, is nice but not brilliant. Very cold pool. Nice big sauna, but not hot enough. Spacious steam rooms but not enough steam. Didn't try the jacuzzi as there were already two people in it which gives you a clue on the size of it. However, the gym IS brilliant. Everything you get in a health club and all you need for a good workout.

Transport links are perfect. Thirty second walk from Tower Hill tube, eight stops from West End and ten minutes walk to Brick Lane, Spitalfields, Liverpool Street and Shoreditch for your trendy bars.

Right on the doorstep of the Tower of London so great for exploring that area.

The bar is a bit scruffy looking for a five star hotel and they charge 12.5% service charge on all food and drinks.

On the whole, well worth the money and I've booked up another two dates already.

My family booked this hotel as a surprise birthday treat for me. Had stayed here before for our Daughters hen weekend a couple of years ago.We arrived about 11 am as the hotel allows you to use the spa facilities before check in time which is 3pm. Our daughter did all the necessary paperwork as we had 3 rooms which she had requested would be on the same floor near to each other. We decided to go out for a stroll & then came back at the appropriate check in time . We were advised that one of our rooms was not ready. The receptionist kept my daughter waiting without an explanation she just kept looking at her screen as if expecting this room to just magically appear. Eventually when pushed for an explanation she admitted the previous guest had asked for a late check out hence this room was not ready. I know from previous experience when requesting a late check out myself hotels only allow this if your room is not going to be used after you. So we were not very happy as my daughter had booked this stay quite a few months previously. We decided to not waste anymore time & advised the receptionist we were going to use the spa facilities & could they please let us know when the room was ready. In all fairness to the hotel we were upgraded to Executive rooms with fantastic views over The Tower of London. So well done for their customer service which shone through in the end. That is my only gripe about this hotel. Now the good stuff.. It 's location is brilliant for exploring the area with The Tower of London & St Katherine's Docks on the doorstep. Right next door to Tower Hill tube station. We had a very pleasant stroll around Butlers Wharf where there are great little cafe's. The spa is nice although the pool could be a little warmer. Our upgraded rooms were fabulous very spacious with floor to ceiling windows with great views Tower of London straight in front & The Shard to our right. Spectacular views at night when the city was lit up. Room service was prompt when we requested champagne glasses. Breakfast was good something for everyone hot or cold. Check out was prompt & we left our cases with the concierge so we could go out for another stroll & Treasure Trail which our daughter had bought for us to do around the area. All in all a lovely stay, but please please Grange City train your staff a little better(or maybe just that one) to deal with check in issues more promptly!

Room Tip: Executive rooms with views towards Tower of London are great.

Ok so this was a last min booking for £99 as a mystery hotel. Good price for a Saturday night and perfect location for our stay.

Good points

Excellent customer service
Complimentary room upgrade
Nice pool
Comfy big bed
Good views
Big towels
Nice and quiet for a good sleep.
Lovely roman blind that blocked out all light
Good powerful shower.

Bad points

Expensive drinks in an average bar, certainly not five star quality surroundings
Ok food but nothing special
Bathroom badly finished, mirror and sockets put up wonky, toilet seat not secured or straight, lime scale on taps and shower unit.
Pool and jacuzzi are looking rather tired decor wise, paint flaking, artwork chipped etc.

Overall this hotel was perfectly located for our stay and to find a half decent hotel for under a £100 on a weekend is not to be sniffed at. However I've stayed at better four star hotels and would have been very disappointed had we paid full price for it.
