Stayed here for one night as my office is round the corner and I knew I would be out very late with clients. It's pretty much as you would expect from the photos; a good location, a nice frontage, dated rooms, very dated "restaurant" area. Upsides are 24 hour access, a comfortable bed and low prices. The downside was a shower you could barely turn round in.

Absolutely fine for a single business traveller. I wouldn't recommend bring anyone for a romantic night away though!

I stayed here for 3 nights 22/23/24 November 2012.
Great location for my purposes (attending a 4 day seminar at Cavendish House, which was 25mins walk away), and found the staff very friendly and helpful, which may sound like no big deal, but you'd be surprise how often people are either not very friendly, or indifferent, or have some weird attitude. Room was small, but you'd expect that at this price in central London. I found the room a teeny bit cold, that's my only niggle.

Stayed here again this month as a solo business traveller for one night.

For London it's fairly cheap but above all it's the location that works well for me. It's smack in the middle between Oxford St and the Marylebone area. The latter having some good places to eat and drink.

The hotel itself is a well run, friendly place. Perhaps it's a touch dated and the bathrooms are v small indeed but all I needed was a place to sleep, so this was perfect.

One thing.. They have birds tweeting on their speaker systems through out the hotel. Surprisingly it's not that annoying, it's just a bit odd. But the tweeting birds wouldn't stop me from staying there again when on business in London again.

Thank you for placing a review on our hotel. We very much appreciate your repeat visits to us and would like to assure you that the tweeting sea birds and waves splashing background sound that you have referred to is played only in common areas of the hotel on low volume and only between 9 am and 7 pm. This background sound system was installed as a result of some of our guests’ feedback suggestions to compliment the national theme that is part of the character of our hotel ambience.
Throughout the installations process, we made sure that no sound whatsoever penetrates the bedroom at any time, day or night. We of course realise that quietness and tranquillity is paramount importance to our guests.
Hope to see you again sometime soon.

The hotel is well located to reach the city center by walking even with children. The bus from the airport Luton arrives near the hotel and we didn't need to take the train, underground, etc.
The staff was hepfull, friendly and the service satisfactory.
The room was confortable and clean, we had a double room not big and the toilet small. However, enough taking into account that we were out of the hotel most of the time. There is no lift and there are four floors although this was not a problem for us,
The continental breakfast cost is 3,90 pounds, including fruit, toasts, coffee, croissants, etc., very good. You can choose English for 4,90 pounds. There are not many places near this area to have breakfast, so the best option is to have in the hotel.
The price is correct to service offer. A good option if you travel with family and child.

Have stayed at the Lincoln House with my family (wife and two boys) and as a couple and also as an individual traveller so by now I have stayed in many of the rooms. It is a great location being on the Airport bus route for Luton and Stanstead and within 20 min of both Paddington Stn for Heathrow Express and Victoria Stn for Gatwick Express. It is a lovely friendly, clean, small hotel and not far from both Hyde Park and Regents Park. Within walking distance of good restaurants and pubs on Baker St, Maryleborne High St and Edgeware Rd and 7 mins walk from Oxford St.
A lovely clean, friendly, small hotel. The Rooms are clean, comfortable and well maintained, however, the single rooms are quite small. No lift but staff will carry your luggage to room if necessary. Staff are very friendly and helpful and always seem to have a smile and and a genuine interest in your welfare and the quality of your stay.
Excellent full English or a Continental breakfast available and a good value evening meal if you are too tired to exit the hotel after your days activities. Good value for money.
I particularly like the fact that the Luton/Stanstead bus stops within 100 mtr of the hotel so if you have a very late or early flight it one less hassle.

Room Tip: No lift so if you have a problem with stairs request ground floor. Have slept in both ground floor front rooms and did not have a problem sleeping. Hotel has double glazing and air conditioning so even though Gloucester Place is a busy road once the windows are closed you don't hear the traffic.
