Nice hotel in the center of London near the BT tower. Traditional style with adequate but comfortable rooms. Ideal for a short functional stay rather than a special trip. Great central location neat to the Tube and Euston station and Oxford Street. I walked from Kings Cross in 20 Minutes. Breakfast in restaurant downstairs is traditional English or continental stye. Good selection and served on white linen tablecloths. nice to see that still exists. Staff are very helpful.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter but rooms with street view are more interesting for London feeling.

Stayed here for ten days and it felt like home to us. The room had a very traditional wooden look which suited it well and provided something different from what I'm used to. Bowlsover Street was quiet but Great Portland Street tube station was two minutes' walk away and provided us with easy travel around London. The breakfast was delicious and offered an extensive variety of pastries, breads and cereals. All hotel staff were friendly and extremely helpful.

Our stay at the Fitzrovia was nice. Walk to shops on Oxford and Regent streets. Many restaurants within one block or two. The hotel lobby and rooms are very traditional and the room and bath were both good sized for central London. The furniture, carpet, drapes could be updated but that might not be in keeping with the historic nature of the hotel.

A group of us stayed at the hotel for a birthday break. Executive twin room was quite nice and beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was nice and large with twin sinks.

The room and hotel were unbearably hot which made it hard to sleep at night (even with windows open).

Location is great, only a two minute walk from Great Portland Street tube station, with shops and restaurants just a street away.

The breakfast was terrible, all of my parties full English were stone cold! The staff were not bothered by this and put all breakfasts in the microwave (which then turned the food to rubber)! Service was not great in restaurant and I would not advise eating there - eat out!

If you are looking for a clean room with a comfy bed, and in a convenient location then this hotel will do fine.

Stayed a couple nights while in a meeting in London. The hotel is in a very nice location, quiet street but also walking distance from many restaurants and shopping stores. The room I stayed was very small but it was OK. The only problem is that it was next to the elevators so it was a bit noisy hearing the elevators go up and down. The bathroom was also small but again it was Ok with the necessary amenities. Breakfast included was good, if you want to order other type of eggs (omelette or fried eggs) you just have to ask and they will gladly do it. Internet was not great but it worked most of the time (they charge 10 pounds for 24 hours).

Room Tip: Avoid to be next or in the back of the elevators!

Quaint comfortable hotel. Lovely executive double room. Excellent bed. Fully equipped bathroom. Lobby is well furnished with a convenient bar. Bright breakfast room with reasonable continental breakfast. Situated in a less touristy part of central London.

I stayed for two nights this week and everything was fine. Nice size, well appointed room with everything you could need.
Quality furnishings but a small bathroom. Swinging a cat in it would present a major challenge. The restaurant served a good breakfast although a little boring and the scrambled eggs were not real. The service is good and the staff are friendly and helpful. My main (and only real) gripe: Internet charges. When will hotels start to realise that Wi fi is as essential now as TV and towels. The cost should be included in the room rate. WAKE UP.
Rant over.
