We needed to be near Victoria Station as we were travelling on the Orient Express the next day, so the location was ideal. Our room was a good size very clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had a a drink and snack in the bar which was fine. All in all it as perfect for our needs.

I was in town on business and stayed at the Park Plaza -- the hotel itself is in an amazing location just blocks from Victoria station, and was surrounded by historic old buildings and homes.

The hotel room was quite large by london standards, and was very clean, but the room was showing its age. The furniture was worn, and the bathroom was dated -- but all in all, a really nice few day stay.

I stayed longer, but ended up switching hotels, as the 300 pound/night price tag was way to much for a room I was barley in.

The hotel itself is maybe a 15 minute walk from the river, and Westminster Abby.

Room Tip: I was facing the back of the hotel, where I got views of the Taxi's lined up...

We arrived at Gatwick Airport and took the Gatwick Express that arrives at Victoria Station; 3 minutes walk from the hotel. The personnel were very efficient and friendly. We had taken the breakfast and 18h00 to 20h00 snack at the lounge. It was perfect. Breakfast was good. We would have a late lunch and come back from a busy day visiting and go to the lounge to relax, have a glass of wine and eat hot hors d'oeuvre and sandwiches.

The room was clean. Nice bathroom. Quiet place.

Friday 12 October was our second stay in this hotel. This time I used Carlson Club points, so it was a free-of-charge stay. The hotel faces both Vauxhall Bridge Road (our room 748 looked in that direction) and Wilton Road. So less than 100 metres walk to the East entrance of Victoria Station.

Check in was quick at 16.00 though would have been much slower when we saw crowds arriving at 18.30. Room 748 was large for London and had a king size bed, as well as armchair, flat screen TV and good furniture. The bathroom had shower over the bath though it was not clear which knob worked each fixture.

We were attending a function near by that evening so did not eat in the hotel.

Check out equally slick.

We will stay again, if the price is right. Quality very similar to Thistle Grosvenor Hotel on the other side of the station. Worth checking the price of each before plumping for Park Plaza.

Room Tip: Upper rooms get just a hum of traffice noise, and thus quieter

Booked this for a work overnight through Last Minute (secret deals). The location is good, next to Victoria Station. It's modern and clean...very corporate though.
The lobby area is large and extends into the bar and restaurant..all open plan. This probably accounts for the lack of "atmosphere".
Check in staff were very helpfull and friendly, though a bit puzzled if you didn't do things by the book. In the end they proved to be flexible.
The room was large, modern and clean with a decent bathroom. Comfortable bed and quiet above street noise.
There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby but I chose to eat in as it was raining. The maitre D of the restaurant was a short stocky italian fellow (possibly spanish). He was excellent. Couldn't do enough for you. The waiting staff were very attentive and pleasant.
It was all a bit soulless, but the chef managed to pass the "black and blue" steak test. I'd not say the food was value though, simply because one course with wine was around fifty quid.
There's parking but at 35 quid a night it's a bit steep...and there needs to be an option to buy parking time in smaller units.
I'd stay there again for sure, but only on a deal (it was 110 for the night, B&B).

We were not expecting to stay at park Plaza but were let down by other hotel. Front of house very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Well done! Standard rooms functional but unappealing. Breakfast very average bearing in mind it is £18.00 per head. Lounge bar service friendly and good. Good location literaly minutes from station.

This is October and te heating is not on. The rooms are cold and uncomfortable. When asked to put the heating on they give you a 3bar heater and tell you it s between the summer and winter seasons- we were promised 3 times that the heating would o on but it never happened . Very uncomfortable.

Room Tip: Do not stay here
