“Beautiful garden”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2012

A beautiful garden, friendly staff and simple rooms make for one of my favorite places to stay in London and close to the Limehouse DLR station, and close to both the city and Canary Wharf. There are no TV’s in the rooms, which I really like, although there is free wifi.

Booked a single room based upon reviews on this site - and they are all true and did not disappoint! Very secure, clean, excellent service, basic rooms but reasonable at the £55 I paid. If you want central location with access to shopping this is NOT the place to stay, but you will appreciate the calmness, breakfast and easy access to the DLR and the rest of London. A £7 day ticket will take you to most places. YES you feel the respect of tip being a sanctuary so if you need/want to party-hardy - go somewhere else! will definitely be back :-)

Very convinient location (just off the DLR station), nice and clean, good price.....but couldn't get any sleep - walls are too thin and you hear all your neigbours are up to (in our case it wasn't a holy business, lol). I put that down just to our bad luck though - quite happy to stay there again and give it another chance. The garden is gorgeous and breakfast is not bad as well. Definately!

A peaceful place in the heart of historic Limehouse. Delightful Chapel, and excellent Library, plus easy to connect free Wi Fi.

If you can't cope without the TV, Narrow Street is a short distance away, and a superb array of restauarants a liitle futher afield at West India Quay.

Room Tip: The Garden facing rooms are a little quieter than those on the street

Stayed here by chance, had to book at short notice, wanted Wi-Fi & breakfast.
Wasn't sure what to expect, 'Catholic Retreat', had me worried, but it was great, well priced, good breakfast, very very nice staff members.

No TV was a bit hard, had to miss TOWIE but the FREE Wi-Fi more than made up for it, the amount of hotels that say they have wi-fi but don't is terrible.

Yes, i would stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay at RFSK. The environment is serene, especially if you get a garden-view room as opposed to a street view room. The Staff is friendly, very helpful and have a relaxed approach to their work which makes you feel more at home and less like a guest. They have free WiFi which is great considering there are no Televisions. The rooms are basic but clean (housekeeping could use a prodding occasionally). RFSK has a small Chapel is quaint and open to guest. The food is good (the Cheese cake is too die for!) and there is a lounge which is very cosy.

The one downside is it can get busy as it is popular with groups having retreats and trainings.

The RFSK is no frills but is very convenient as its beside Limehouse DLR. It is clean, friendly and affordable.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with Garden view as opposed to the street view.

We had a five-day-workshop here and I love its peaceful atmosphere very much. The bedroom was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The view from the workshop room and bedroom to the inner garden was refreshing.
