“Excellent beer”
Reviewed May 31, 2013

Glorious sunny day in that London. Visited the pub with my cousin. Excellent variety of beers and pleasing atmosphere. I had a superb couple of golden ales and he had half a pint of wheat germ stout. An expensive, chewy beer suitable for waterproofing canvas, however, he described it as:" Marvellous". It'd be a peculiar world if we all liked the same thing. Well worth a visit. Oh, they had "The Wedding Present" playing on the music loop, so a great time was guaranteed for all.

“Great pub , great beers”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

This is a real ale gem for any who likes their beer, and I do.
But having said that my wife, who doesn't drink beer, said she really liked the pub too.
It has a nice atmosphere and is nice and bright and light so I could imagine it being great in Summer.
They have a great choice of beers and I asked for a recommendation, told them what I liked and they came up with a gem.
It also struck me as a nice sociable place to hang out with friends and have a drink. No loud music or TVs to drown out the conversation.
We also sampled a half a pork pie and a scotch egg. That is all they do but they were great.
3 choices of Pork Pie and scotch eggs, great accompaniment if you want a nibble with your beer.
Worth the trip.

“Favorite Pub in London!!”
Reviewed May 11, 2013

Best pub in London hands down! Great selection of beers and they taste SOOOOOO GOOOD! We spoke with the Irish gentleman at the bar and he was very nice to allow us to taste different beers and even gave us advice on another pub to go to after they closed down. You have to try the Raspberry Cider! All the locals go here so it must be good! Fantastic place with the best selection and tasting beers in London!!!

“Great for a good conversation or even a lonely beer”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

This pub is so cozy I would even come here for a beer by myself, after work. The atmosphere is very calm side: no sports TV, no loud people, just right for you to relax while having a good conversation with a friend, or reading a book, and tasting some great beer.

The selection is quite large, and the service is good.

There's a small back garden, with heaters, that can be quite pleasant for the smokers.
