It's in the center of London practically. The food is always good and the service great. Looks like a gastro pub but has a 5 star restaurant menu and service. Great selection of wines and good beers. Like it so much try an go at least once a month. It's top quality for a night out with mates or even a more serious business meal.

Stayed here recently for two nights mid-week while vacationing in London and had a decidedly mediocre experience.

Pros:
- Location is fabulous. Close to many tube stops, Hyde Park, and shopping.
- Style. The rooms are stylish and the use of the fairly limited space is good.
- Food. The food is really solid. We had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant downstairs and were very happy with both.

Cons:
- Noise. This is a BIG deal. Especially if you stay on the floor immediately above the restaurant. I'd read other reviews complaining of the noise and brushed them off. We live in NYC on the second floor of our apartment building so we are used to quite a bit of noise at night. Didn't think it would bother me. IT DID. The first night was a Monday and so pretty quiet. Nothing I couldn't sleep though. However, Tuesday night was SO LOUD. We went to bed pretty early to catch an early morning flight. The restaurant didn't quiet down until 11:30PM and there were many revelers singing to the music and making toasts etc. Once they left the night porter was extremely loud moving tables around (to clean presumably) and banging doors, dishes etc. I know he was only doing his job, but he was very VERY loud. We didn't get to sleep until nearly 1AM. This is a big consideration if you're not a night owl or you need to wake up early.

- Service. The service was only ok. Being pretty familiar with London, I was surprised at how much I missed having a concierge. The staff at GG were clearly focused on the restaurant and not the hotel guests. There wasn't much of a welcome, only an off handed check-in and cursory review of the room. Also, the staff wasn't very knowledgeable about pretty basic questions (for example, they didn't know where the Wallace Collection was--it's three blocks away--or how best to get to Gatwick). Again, it seems like the restaurant is by far the top priority.

- Price. For me, given the lack of service and the noise factor, as well as the fact that the rooms aren't THAT big, the price was too high for what we got.

Overall, if you want someplace hip to stay and you're going to be up all night, this may be the place for you. If you want any kind of services or go to bed before midnight, look elsewhere. Some of the plusses did help compensate for the negatives, but probably not enough to get me to stay here again.

Room Tip: Request a floor high up. You'll have to walk up stairs, but at least you won't get noise fro...

The Grazing Goat offers newly refurbished, stylish rooms upstairs a lovely Pub and excellent Restaurant. Location very close to Marble Arch convenient. Rooms are spacious for London standards. The staff running the place very friendly. A good trade of - no reception (not needed anyway, no elevator) but nicer rooms.

Room Tip: Nicest rooms are on the top floor!

Often go here for coffee and nibbles. It's a lovely space with friendly staff.
Went for Sunday lunch-food was just ok, although desserts were great and beautifully presented.
Good portion sizes. Expensive.

I'd settled on a superior room at this place because a) I like their chain of boutiquey top-end pubs, b) it was a fair price, c) good location for my plans and d) it had a bathtub.

The staff on-site and the events organiser ladies were all incredibly helpful as I had a few weird requirements. Basically, everything was perfect - the friendly but professional atmosphere, the room comfort and quality, the breakfast and the lunch for 11 people we had the next day. The St Emilion they have on the menu is worth a visit on its own.

My aim was to find a special treat with this base as a central, but quiet, little bolthole. It absolutely delivered.

Room Tip: There are 2 superior rooms. G is to the front (where we stayed), H towards the back (which I had che...

I wanted to rest and enjoy London for an evening en route from Central Asia to the U.S. The Grazing Goat delivered! The room was lovely, stylish, yet very functional and immaculate. The staff were outstanding. They went out of their way to handle my bags, and I found extra fans already running in my room upon my arrival, which coincided with a terrible heat wave. There was some noise from a party downstairs, but it didn't bother me. The late night revelers were certainly enjoying themselves, but they were courteous and not at all obnoxious (unlike some other pubs and up-scale establishments in the area). Last but definitely NOT least, the food downstairs was exceptional! What a perfect, relaxing stay!

Room Tip: This is an inn, not a hotel. Expect fewer amenities, but those services which are offered come with...
