This is the second time I've eaten here in about 2 months, the 1st time was on a busy Saturday night and the 2nd time being this evening. I love the decor and the atmosphere in this place, really buzzy, lively but without being so loud you can't hear yourself talk. I think it has some interesting little touches like serving food on vintage floral plates, not at all what one would expect. Food and drink very reasonably priced, great cocktails, my daughter was chuffed with her Bellini. The fried fish basket was superb, really fresh fish. Lovely waiter, with a cheeky grin and a twinkle in his eye!

Went for dinner and what meal it was. The menu was big with loads of selection and the venue was WOW. I sat with five other guest and I can't praise the staff enough. The service was slick but not to attentive and the food was very quirky looking but tasted great. Will definite be returning for a visit again soon.

What more can i say! A quirky restaurant that shows the imagination of Drake & Morgan with a great place to eat and drink. The menu is full of choice, with food served efficiently, great non-fussy service that allows you to relax and enjoy the surroundings and a fantastic environment to meet with friends and colleagues!
I loved the presentation of dishes, soup served from a flask, burgers in the camping tins and cocktails in funky glassware. You could see so many people were in awe of how the dishes looked and made them even more appetising!

Well done, i will be back...

Visited the drift over a year ago, and after an good but fairly standard city experience we left this time having been truly impressed and talking the place up no end. Starting with just a few drinks the atmosphere has really come along with a great mix of people, much improved music and friendly staff who make GREAT cocktails! We didn't want a full on meal so opted for a couple of sharing boxes which come in retro type wooden trays, while we waited watched the chefs doing flaming pancakes right at the table which was seriously impressive! All this in a stunning venue with huge ceilings and cool bits and bobs lying about and you've got a great place for a date, drink or dinner hidden just out of view but right in the heart of the action. Big tick for me!

The service and attitude in this restaurant was terrible. There were three waiters serving a dozen or so tables. None made any eye contact or observed the tables. The head waiter (or so he seemed) spent most of his time at the kitchen window texting on his phone.
The fish was inedible with bones in every mouthful so his immediate answer was to give it free. It had obviously happened before.
When eventually we came to pay the bill, the tip was taken off the change in spite of saying we did not want to pay the tip. It then took ages to get the money back and the face of the waitress said it all......
Altogether not a good experience.
