Description: Loosely translated as ‘Sardinian flavours’, this cosy family-run newcomer on Fulham Road nails its regional colours to the mast with a menu that highlights the island’s rustic specialties and native produce. Come here for bowls of spaghetti laced with bottarga (dried mullet roe), malloreddus ‘gnocchi’ with sausage ragù and pecorino or monkfish wrapped in Sardinian air-dried ham (served with sautéed courgettes, chilli and mint). The kitchen also knocks out its share of trattoria staples, from grilled calamari with tangy salmoriglio dressing to seafood risotto and calf’s liver with butter and sage.

“Simplicity works wonders”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2013

Considering the fact that it is currently ranked 14th in the top restaurants list of trip advisor, this place has a relatively modest ambiance, but it won't take too long to realize why it is rated so high. The food is absolutely wonderful and one can really sense the quality and freshness of ingredients used in every dish.

We ordered 'Burrata E Bottariga' for the starters - was absolutely delish. The other dishes we tried were 'Risotto Pescatora'- it was excellent and 'Chef's special Spaghetti Lobster' - it was the only let down for us, although the lobster was fine, the spaghetti tasted very average.

The Tiramisu was absolutely wonderful, Loved it! I can go back to this place just for the Tiramisu :-) ( we are a big fan of Tiramisu and have tried it in numerous places, it is top notch here)
The staff is very cordial & you will even find the owner of the restaurant taking extra effort in ensuring everyone is comfortable and having a good time.

Overall a nice experience, looking forward to visiting them soon!

“Superb Sardinian”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 3, 2013

This unpretentious local family restaurant serves excellent Sardinian food, freshly sourced and unfailingly delicious. The regular menu is full of delights - pastas, risottos, meat and fish dishes - and each day there are specials based on fresh market produce. The wine, as carefully selected as the food, is great value for money. Simple, sapid and superb! Thanks, Piero. Gul and all your wonderful staff.

“Amazing and delicious”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

I have been to many Italian restaurants in London ( also in various other cities) and this place serves the best Italian food.

You should definitely try tagliolini con porcini, tartufo e spek. This is the signature dish of the place. And I loooved the pana cotta. All delicious...and served in a friendly, warm atmosphere.
It is a little gem that shouldn't be missed...

“Intimate venue, delicious Sardinian food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

Sapori Sardi is a small, family run restaurant at the Fulham Palace Road end of Fulham Road, it looks like any other small Italian eatery from outside - but once inside you will be charmed by the friendly service and good vibe of contented local diners, and delighted by the good Sardinian food.

The must have is the,TAGLIOLINI SPECK E PORCINI ED OLIO TARTUFATO, fresh tagliolini with speck and porcini mushrooms, drizzled with truffle oil; it's so delicious I have to stop myself ordering it every time I go, and at twelve pounds seventy five, great value. I last went with a vegetarian friend who raved about his PANE FRATTAU, an old Sardinian recipe of baked flat bread with tomato sauce, pecorino cheese mint and topped with a pouched egg, which at ten pounds was also good value. If you feel like splashing out, go for the delicious CASSOLA ALLA CAGLIARITANA, stewed mix fish Sardinian style, served with a green salad on the side. The cheeses are to die for... we asked for a platter of mixed cheese and a delivery had just come in direct from Italy and we were treated to the most delicious selection, including pecorino Sardo, cash marzu, all washed down with delicious local house wine.

Authentic Sardinian cuisine at good price - we shall keep going back for more.

“Perfect friday night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

Crew of six out for a birthday dinner - excellent night! The food was absolutely exquisite: the main courses at our table included two dishes of chicken with vegetables and potatoes, lamb with vegetables, and other selections of meat. The meal was perfected with desserts to die for: four orders of the best panna cotta in all of London and a delicious tiramisu. The atmosphere was absolutely lovely; lively yet intimate (perfect combo). Last but certainly not least, the service: friendly, smiley, warm - they sang me a happy birthday, making this one of the best culinary experiences ever! The six of us would recommend it to both visitors and Londoners!
