An imposing and very luxurious hotel, as expected. The room was incredibly spacious and the bed amazingly comfortable. Very nice small painting that made the room look more personal and made me remember the details of the room. My only regret is to have been able to stay only one night, therefore not enjoying the hotel at its fullest.

I stayed here for one night between engagements - a wedding in Brighton (from whence trains come into Victoria) and an early flight at Heathrow necessitated a late night train back to Victoria and a sleepover. Couldn't fault this hotel - clean, functional rooms, friendly staff, affordable by London standards, and if you're considering it because it's close to Victoria - yes, it really is: just walk out onto the street, turn left, and you fall in the door. Very handy at 1am. And the beds are v comfy!

Stayed there on the 27 May for 6 Nights, found the reception, concierge and dining staff to be very helpful and pleasant. The location was great right next door to Victoria Station. The room was very good, we stayed on the 3rd floor on the wing of the hotel overlooking Victoria Station, (but as we were only in the room to sleep at night this was not an issue nor was the noise from the PA system in the train station, as this was only a muffled noise).

I chose to stay at the Grosvenor while on a business trip to London and it turned out to be the best choice I could've made. The hotel is right next to the Victoria station and ticks all the boxes in terms of location and accessibility. The reception/lobby area exudes grandeur with its majestic double staircase and luxe carpeting. The reception staff were courteous and friendly though clearly it was a very busy time of the day. I was offered a free upgrade to one of their executive rooms. Though the facade, lobby and the corridors remind you of Victorian splendour, the room itself was stylishly decorated to a more contemporary design. The coffee/tea making facilities, storage space, the bed & pillows, the armchair were all top class! Complete with the super soft bathrobe, slippers and Elemis toileteries in the bathroom one couldn't ask for more....This had to be the best!

This hotel worked out perfecty for our family vacation. It has great location,(actually connected to Victoria Station), which made getting around London very easy. It is also within walking distance of several sights such as Buckingham Palance, Westminster, etc. In addition to the convenient acces to the tube, the surrounding neighborhood was very homey and we felt like we were getting a real London experience.

As to the property itself, I was pleasantly surprised. This is an old hotel, with a touch of traditional elegance, but has been recently renovated with everything you could ask for. The rooms were good-sized by European standard. The staff was very helpful, polite, and even had our room ready several hours early.

In the spotty world of London hotels, this is one you can trust. The only suggestion is that you should request a room away from the train station. My brother's room could hear the sound of train announcements (during the day only), while I never heard a peep from my room. Make this request and you should be good to go.

Room Tip: Make sure to ask for a room away from the train station to avoid hearing the train announcements.

We picked The Grosvenor for our honeymoon and first trip ever to London May 30-June 4, 2012. Unsure and a little nervous especially after hearing about the room sizes in London, we can not even begin to compliment this hotel in so many different ways. The front desk staff, the management, the room size, cleaniness of the hotel, and location were all quite impressive. The lobby was gorgeous and after seeing that I couldn't wait to see our room. Our room was good size, only to find out later that we had been upgraded from a standard double to a delux double without even asking. The best surprise of all, when we entered our room on the little table next to the chair was a bottle of wine and 2 glassesand a note saying "Thank you for choosing the Grosvenor to celebrate your Special Occasion!". WOW how incredible was that and what a way to start out our honeymoon in London. Later, going downstairs we asked to speak to the manager to thank him so much for our "special gift" and we ended up talking for 15 minutes or so. He shared with us some history about how people that we going to board The Orient Express used to go right through the hotel's lobby. We are just ordinary people but the treatment we received at The Grosenor we felt like a King and Queen. Since it was the weekend of the Diamond Jubilee we felt like we fit right in with the Royal Family.
Thank you
Leslie Rearick

We spent the Diamond Jubilee weekend at the Grosvenor and were not disappointed. It is so central to Victoria station and to Big Ben and lots of London sights. If you enjoy walking it is perfect.
The station announcements can be heard if your window is open but they stop by about 10pm.
I would stay here again
