Me and wife were in London for 3 nights and had booked at the Royal National Hotel.
That was a mistake!
The hotel has two sections - North and South. We were sent tonthe North and it was crowded with lots of youngsters from schools, clubs or whatever. So the noise was heavy at times, but for the good part - it ended at 11 am promptly!
We suspected the hotel to gather group of youngsters in this part of the hotel. So how did we end up here.
The hotel needed a renovation desperately- it is very weary. The bathroom had mold in the corners, and the carpet in the bedroom needed a visit by a vacuum cleaner, - just once in a while would have done wonders.
But the bed was fine, and clean - and so much for the one star experience.
Not to mention the breakfast- white bread, jam, serials, coffee or tea, and some sort of juice. We decided to walk the few minutes to the coffee shop in Russell Square Park instead. Much better.
We always want to recommend a stay in one or the other way, but for the Royal National Hotel - we cannot!More
