I was lucky to be a resident of Westminster when I lived in London - it's a lovely borough. Though it is often full of tourists, its sights are worth visiting. I loved the Thames, the old streets of London, St James Park, Hyde Park, Green Park... It also has great transport connections and is totally safe.

Get off at Westminster tube station and just walk around the area, Big Ben is really enormous and very photogenic, there are many red telephone boxes around for the iconic London tourist photo. You can walk to Buckingham Palace through St James' park while seeing all the amazing old buildings of London.

I stare at it and admire its perfectness. It's very easy to reach either by underground or bus. You can buy a one-day ticket which you can use all day for unlimited journeys by metro or bus.
You can cross the Street and visit Westminter Abbey and its crypt where the UK kings lay, but you will need at least 2 hours down there.

City of Westminster has a lot to offer, especially many of the sites mainly associated with London; Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, 10 Downing St, Oxford St, Regent St, Soho and many more. Whether you are a tourist or you live in London, you will definitely end up in Westminster soon enough. Make sure to walk around and take in everything it has to offer.

Definitely worth a visit! You can either pay the enteance fee and view at your leisure OR you can go to one of the services and get in for free. I recommend the Evensong - if you are a music lover, the choir cannot be beaten.
