Wonderful little find in london, the service and the food was great. We stayed in a normal double room not a suite and it was just as amazing as I thought it would be. There is a pub downstairs not that you would know from the room as you can't hear anything. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the room was modern with all little treats you wouldn't usually expect. I honestly would recommend this to anyone staying in London that loves individuality styled with class. The only thing I would say is from the tube you will need walking shoes as its a good 15 minutes

I stayed at this place recently and I was close to giving 5 stars but I can't put it in the same category as a Four Seasons or Trump Chicago or something like that.

However, for $188 a night (bookings.com) in London, it was very good value. West Ealing is not central London but it is a 22 minute train ride away from Heathrow for 7 pounds one way.

The hotel is actually very cool. It is right above a great Fuller's pub and I believe it has 27 rooms or so each with their own special character.

I alwasy like to see when a hotel was built or last renovated so if it is recent (last 3 - 5 years) you can bet it is going to be pretty nice. So you will like the fact that everything is new about this hotel.

Here are the Pros:

The people who work there are great! Very helpful all the way around - really feels like family. Same goes for the bartenders and waitresses who seem to work the hotel too.
Breakfast was good and it was included. It was not great - typical English breakfast but can't really complain
The newness of the bathroom is very nice.
I had a Queen Bed - reservation said King but this is a Queen. Many London Hotels for similar price only offer singles or doubles or twins. London is like NY - one of the most outrageously overpriced hotel cities in the world.
Wireless Internet was free.
All the little pamphlets about the place and area were a cut above chain hotels - far more personalized and thoughtful it seems.
The darn Samsung HDTV was TRULY HDTV!!!!! You don't see this hardly anywhere in London. They have HDTVs in all the hotels and it seems 90% of them don't get an HD signal!!!
They had free passes to the Eden Gym which was awesome - tons of equipment - anything and everything you would need.

Here are some minor CONS - and this is mostly for the hotel to know about and maybe fix:

The bottom sheet on the bed was a little scratchy - felt 50/50 Polyester / Cotton although I am sure it is 100% cotton. The bed itself was comfortable but I would use better sheets. Even the 3 start hotel chains in the US are starting to use much better sheets all the way around.
The caps on the shampoo and conditioner are very difficult to twist off (and I can bench 300 pounds). These are the same products that were at the National Hotel in Miami - there must have been a great deal on them but they should be swapped out.
The wood paneling in the bathrooms and rooms seems out of place and way too 70s or 80s. I would try to modernize the whole room.
Bathtub is a big step up to get into or out of - typical in London.
Water pressure good but not great but Rainshower head very nice.
A mile walk to the Tube but the train right there a block away.

Definitely worth staying at again and just a nice overall experience.

Room Tip: Of the 27 rooms, I believe 5 are suites and I hear are really nice. I stayed in one of the standard...

I stayed at the Drayton Court on 22 May 2012. I was attending a business meeting in Central London, and this hotel was the closest I could get at a reasonable price. I wasn't too sure what to expect from a 'Boutique Hotel' but I was very pleasantly surprised. The young man at check-in was friendly and efficient and the whole check-in process went very smoothly. I was also given all the information I needed about the facilities at the time I checked in. My room was spacious and modern, and the standard of cleanliness and decoration was very high and the room was immaculately clean. The usual tea & coffee service in the room (nice touch with a cafetiere) and a large flat screen TV with the usual Freeview selection. The Bathroom was also very modern, and clean and was of a very high standard with heated towel rail, bath and shower combined, with several power options on the shower. The free toiletries were also clearly at the more expensive end of the 'give away' market.
The hotel has a pub on the ground floor which was quite busy but not so much that it would disturb you in a room. The service and choice at the bar was excellent and there is a good range of pub food to select at reasonable prices. There is a large garden area out back with picnic tables where you can eat dinner. The weather was good so it was also busy, but order your food at the bar and the staff will bring it to your table when it's ready. Breakfast was in the restaurant and is waiter service. Once again, a good choice and the food at both breakfast and dinner was good. Lots of people came here to eat dinner (not only guests) and that's generally a good sign. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I travel a lot and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with all aspects of this hotel. One of my better finds, and one that I'd be more than happy to stay in again.

We stayed five nights at the Drayton Court Hotel in West Ealing. It was a great place "outside" London. The place is easy to reach from Heathrow Airport. The fastest way is to take the Heathrow Connect to Paddigton Station. The rooms are perfect, clean and spaceous. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It was a real pleasure to stay there. The breakfast is rich an you can chose from different types of english breakfasts. The best thing ist the pub which is part of the Hotel. There you can get a decent pub meal or can take a beer at the end of a great day in London.
The fastest way into London downdown is by train. Otherwise as i perferred to take the bus nearby (4 min) to walk to Ealing broadway the final station of the Circle Line of the tube.

It is a really great british stay in London. It will be you place to stay during our next stay

Just had to say this was a great place for us to stay whilst we sorted out a place to live in London. We arrived here in Feb this year and stayed for a week, and just thought I should recommend it, better late than never!

A fabulous stay in a lavish and spotless room with plenty of excellent features such as cafetiere coffee, teapig teabags, cold fresh milk, lovely complimentary toiletries and elegant period and contemporary features. The bed was London Marriott standard. Most people have commented on how friendly and helpful the staff are already but I found the lady at breakfast particularly brilliant - she let me have two breakfasts! Excellent location, great food, great service and very stylish. Well worth the higher price.

(It would have been even better if the swimming pool was on site! Perhaps there's room in the spacious garden to build an outhouse?)

Room Tip: For an even more special treat I would book the Lavender Hill Mob suite!

This weekend we travelled down for the FA cup semi finals and spent two nights there. The beds were exceptionally comfortable and the hotel itself wasnt even in a particularly busy road for London so a good nights sleep was had by all. We found the staff to be very hospitable and caring. The manager Dave was a really nice guy. The breakfast was very tasty and extensive and included in the nights stay.

Room Tip: 26 and 27 were standard cost but had a nice outlook over the road
