What an interesting museum and what a superb collection ! Milestones of Flight, Bomber Hall, Historic Hangars, Grahame White Factory & Battle of Britain Hall: enough to fill a full day if you want to see all what's on display.

In the "Battle of Britain" hall the RAF fighter planes are still facing their German counterparts. One of the highlights is the walk-through of the mighty Sunderland flying boat.
Entrance is donation based. Tube station: Colindale. Bus service from tube station to RAF museum.

“Air Force Connection”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2013

Went to this venue with my grandson. Interesting exhibits and story of the RAF etc. Quite a lot to take in .For those who have studied the RAF part in the 2nd World War it is a must place to see. These brave men and women in the services deserved to be remembered for their sacrifices during those hectic days of the conflict that Britain was caught up in.

“AMAZING VISIT”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 7, 2013

This a must when visiting London. Unfortunately we only had the afternoon to visit but there is just so much to see and could actually spend a whole day there. No charge for entry - only a car parking fee.
The tour guide was excellent and even waited for us whilst we had a film show.
It appeared to me that school groups were very interested and must have learned a lot about WW2.
I would highly recommend a day's outing to this amazing museum.

“Great day out”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2013

I can't recommend highly enough what a great day out the RAF museum at Hendon is. A huge range of both modern and ww11 aircraft with a fascinating look at aircraft development and the men and women involved, and it's free entry.

“Loads to see for free”

Great day out that is FREE to get in! Enough to keep you busy for hours. There were other activities on offer at a small extra charge. Cafe was good value for money too.
