Booked this Hotel for a theatre trip to London. Excellent location and only about 10 minutes walk from Drury Lane. Very reasonably priced as well and actually got the best deal when booking directly with the hotel rather than comparison websites. £90 for a superior room and breakfast so not bad at all.

My husband booked this for a theatre break. Location was excellent as behind the British Museum however whilst the room was clean the bed was terrible. Our room had an4 poster but sadly the mattress has had it I have never slept on anything so uncomfortable. As the room was small the bed took over everything and if you were on the wrong side of the. Ed you we're unable to see the TV. Breakfast was ok but no great shakes - limited choice and on Sunday morning we had to ask for more coffee as no-one was going round topping up drinks. The bar also has no ambience went across the road to the Montague for a drink in their bar - The Grange could learn a thing or two from them lovely leather seating good choice of drinks etc rather than tatty furniture and no atmosphere

We managed to part right outside and feed the meters for our Friday night stay. Reception area and small bar very nice, staff noticeably friendly and helpful. Our room was compact but comfortable and spotlessly clean with bath and decent shower. Breakfast buffet was continental, plenty of jams, spreads, choice of rolls, croissants, cold meats and cheese, cereals and fruits in a very pleasant setting looking at the gardens of the British Museum. Again at breakfast, the staff were efficient and extremely helpful and cheerful. Will definitely return.

+ Great location: bus number 7 leaves you just outside of the hotel. The subway, stop "Russel square"is 5'walk.The British museum is 1' on foot!
+ Very clean room!!It was big and on the second floor with view to the gardens.
+ Friendly stuff:Especially the night guys were very smiley and helpful. They ordered for us food delivery and offered as water with lemon;so kind of them.
BUT - Cold room! The window didn't close enough to be warm. The heat didn't work so at night we were cold.
Overall,I would chose it again!

Room Tip: - We had continental breakfast(only cereals, ham and cheese) so if you book, chose the other breakfast...

I have stayed here twice before and have not had a bad room yet. The Grange Townhouse hotels can offer some fantastic rooms, but also some small ones so you can be unlucky sometimes. My room was very well appointed, a good size with very high ceilings and quite a grand feel. The service was friendly and in being on Montague Street rather than Bedford Place (where the bulk of the Grange Hotels are) it was much quieter and I slept well.

I would say the bathroom fittings were starting to look a bit tired, but it was very clean, as was the room, and very tidy.

I would happily stay here again.

Room Tip: I would normally suggest sleeping at the back of this hotel but had no issues with noise at all.

We stayed at The Grange White Hall for my mums 60th birthday. The staff were lovely, going out of their way to make the stay special. The rooms were luxurious with no concern about size or facility. Everything worked well and staff were accommodating with regard to every request.

There were a few tiny issues, the toiletries were repeated rather than the variety in my parents room and the kettle wire did not quite reach the plug when sat inside the coffee making facilities, but none of these issues disrupted our stay.

Requests made were adhered to and we had a lovely peaceful stay. No issues with the beds, bedding, maids or staff.

Having worked in hotels and cleaned rooms, someone's room will be cleaned first and another persons room will be inevitably last on the list. If you want it done before you return at a specific time, just ask.

Food was delicious and we enjoyed breakfast thoroughly. Drinks may have been overpriced but this is similar in many hotels / restaurants over the country, it's often where they make their money.

Overall fantastic stay and lovely weekend.
