“Our family loved this hotel”
Reviewed July 28, 2010

We are a family of four. We all loved our stay here.As noted, the building itself is a bit drab from the outside. The rooms are spacious with a nice clean modern, albeit budget, build. The staff are very helpful and the breakfasts are great value. There's even a bar where we could catch the odd world cup match. Great location too, Putney high street shopping is just over the bridge with plenty of eating places and pubs also. There are some nice gardens along the river on the Fulham side for before breakfast walks whilst still working off the jetlag.Very close also to Putney Bridge tube station, though please note it lacks a lift so you will need to haul you luggage down three flights of stairs.

The outside looks like a 70's office block, but don't be put off. Inside the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was basic but large and clean. The location was perfect for us going to Wimbledon - 2 minute walk to the tube and 2 tube stops to Wimbledon. Breakfast was good and the staff were very helpful. Also, convenient for central London - only 20 mins on the tube. We'll stay here again.

We booked a Premier Inn as we are a family of 3 and we know what to expect. Decent sized room and free breakfast for my 14 yr old. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Not pretty from the outside but fine inside. We were concerned about noise from the busy road outside but our sleep wasn't disturbed in the 3 nights we stayed. Round the corner from Putney bridge tube station and plenty of restaurants and bars nearby to choose from

This hotel looks like a dump from the outside but is actually a very nice and clean hotel. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. What really annoyed me was the day manager who was a complete officious, arrogant, unyielding twit. We booked a family room which by some arbitrary standard is 2 adults and 2 children (Under 16). At check in we were told we had to book another room as one of our children was 18 years old. There was no argument that was the rule. We booked another room for our child at 175 pounds for two nights. We got to our family room and it was huge with ample room for our family. I was not happy. Our daughter had to stay in a room by herself and it was not an adjoining room, but at least was on the same floor.

The hotel looks like a 70's office block but the interior is typical Premier Inn Purple. Clean and uncomplicated. My room was huge and modern. I paid £265 for three nights bed and breakfast (extra). Staff friendly enough.

I stayed for 3 nights. There is a pub in the hotel but I prefer a real pub. There is one nearby called the 8 Bells I think which was very ordinary but convenient. Over the bridge there are some better pubs.

The hotel is handy for the tube. My only problem is that if you are going to east LOndon you don't want to be in Puney necessarily! OK for Richmond and Kew Gardens and Chelsea and Earls Court and Notting Hill.

The breakfasts are £7.95 and you can eat as much as you like! I always stay at Premier Inn because they are reasonably priced and you know what you are getting - a clean place to stay in a good location.

My only problem was that it is 15 stops on the tube from Kings Cross (40 mins) and you have to go to Earls Court (5 stops) (and other stations) to get onto the cental/Victoria/Piccadilly lines. Parsons Green (one stop) is a nice area.

The hotel is just 100yds from the start of the boat race and you can walk by the river on a warm day. Fulham FC is nearby too.

We stayed 4 nights in April and it was great. The staff were well-trained and always helpful. When we needed help with our electrical travel converter, they saved us a trip way across the city, by telling us a branch of the electronics store was right in Putney.
We had asked not to be right by the elevator, like last time, and they complied. We had a 5th floor room looking out on the river. The room was quite large for this kind of hotel. The room was always clean, and they had installed new flat screen TV's since we had been there 3 years ago. The only thing we would change would be for breakfast to be included in the price. I had had minor surgery before the trip and wasn't always feeling terrific, and just a piece of toast and some juice would have been nice, instead of 7.95 for a full breakfast, which we didn't do. We walked to a few other places.
But all in all, it was very pleasant.

We booked this hotel as we were attending a wedding reception 10 mins walk away. Location was very good both to Putney/Fulham & close by to transport links to other parts of London.
The rooms were OK, clean enough. Bathroom could do with being updated but thats about it. Staff in reception were very fiendly & helpful.
Parking is £18.00 for 24 hours which is quite expensive but typical for London.
I would stay here again but only for convenience not for a romantic break!!
