Well worth the time to wander up and browse all the fascinating shop windows including one for the purchase of moustache wax!

“Important part of history”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

This short covered street is one of "Have to see!" -places in London. The goods are very high quality and very expensive so maybe there´s nothing to buy, but it´s nice to see the first shopping center in England. And of course it´s always nice to have a small chat with Burlington Arcade´s 200 hudred years old police force (didn´t you know that Burlington Arcade has world´s smallest police force?). He´s very nice and polite elder gentleman. :)
PS. Don´t eat anything (glass, hamburger etc) in Burlington Arcade or whistle in there, because the Burlington Arcade´s Police Force has then right to throw you out from there (because of your bad behaviour). Well, hardly happens, but who knows...

“Quality Businesses resisting fashion”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

A truly charming arcade, hardly changed over decades. This is is not the fashion of say Bond street there is not any bling or glitz. Substance abounds, the 'things done right' feeling pervades this strip of shops, but it is well worth a look and if the mood takes you 'go in' and likely talk to an owner, or craftsman someone who knows and loves their product.

“Victorian arcade.. good for a general look-see”
Reviewed September 1, 2012

Beautifully restored Victorian arcade maintaining its' character and ambience. Shops are expensive but it is possible to buy things e.g. at Sermoneta (Italian gloves), Vilebrequin (expensive men's swimwear), macaroons at Laduree, but the rest mostly for window shopping.

Ideal for a stroll if you are in the vicinity e.g. at the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, Regent Street and Saville Row (our kids like the nearness of A&F on Saville Row!)
