Pretty old interior, small rooms, noise from the neighbors... the rooms also get cold at night since the heating is stopped centrally. Pretty bad hotel compared to other options In the area, wouldn't stay there again

I stayed at Rhodes Hotel over two separate periods for a total of 4 nights in late January / early February 2014.

There are two separate buildings and I had the pleasure of staying in both. The rooms were fantastic - very up to date fixtures, fittings and appliances and very comfortable bedding.

Breakfast was lovely and served with a smile.

All the staff were kind and very helpful.

My only comment, is that there are A LOT of stairs in the main building, so if you are not so good on stairs (or you have just come back from an 11 day tour with the flu) you may wish to ask for a room on the lower levels. Otherwise, the exercise going up and down the stairs will do you no harm! The staff assisted me with carrying my bags which was very kind of them.

I look forward to staying at Rhodes Hotel next time I am in London and have passed the name on to my friends.

We've been staying at the Rhodes for over 10years now and it's always a very friendly, helpful, excellent value with good breakfasts and in an excellent location. We would never use a different hotel for our visits to London! It may not be an expensive plush hotel, but it's all the better for it!

Room Tip: Only fitness centre is the stairs (hit the button by mistake!)

We have stayed at Rhodes Hotel every time we visit London in the spring. Every time except the first when we picked a 4 star hotel near Oxford Street. We found Rhodes Hotel better priced, and all the staff much more personable, friendly and helpful. Want to know how to get somewhere? Just ask. Chris and Maria have gone out of their way to help us with trains and buses, trip bookings and a car rental. Excellent location near Paddington gives us easy access to transportation for wherever we want to go. When we return from our day's journeys, we come back to the hotel lobby where we can share our tales and experiences, learn more tips and tidbits about London, watch the telly, or relax with Chris and share jokes and stories. Some might say the rooms are small, but I say that Chris has achieved maximum efficiency. These rooms are sized like all similar hotels in London. But these are furnished nicely, with refrigerator, hot water for tea or coffee in the room, and the bathrooms are very modern. I have taken photos of the styling so I can remodel at home when I get to that project. All in all, I will always return to the Rhodes Hotel when I stay in London. We have visited every spring (with a couple exceptions) for the last 14 years. Every year there's a new improvement that Chris is proud to show. Chris and Maria may run a great hotel, but it's more like family and a home away from home for us.

Stayed: March 2014
