Located right next to Oxford Street and Hyde Park. Bathroom may need some renewal but the location and the great breakfast makes it worth to stay in this hotel. I did not know that English sausages were so tasty!
Great value for money.

This is the seventh time staying at the Parkwood. Ideally situated in a central location. We can't fault it. From the spotlessly clean rooms to the delicious breakfast. A credit to Gail and her friendly helpful staff. Looking forward to coming again next year.

This was our first visit to the Parkwood but certainly won't be our last!
It is ideally situated near Marble Arch tube station and central for Oxford Street.

The staff are very friendly & helpful and the place is spotlessly clean.
Breakfast was cooked to order and very tasty.
A Wetherspoons pub is located just a short walk away which is great for meals.
To sum up, this is one of the best small hotels we have stayed in.

Room Tip: If you are less mobile choose a room on ground or first floor, these do get booked up quickly so boo...

We stayed at Parkwood both on our arrival and depature on our uk trip. If i ever get the chance to return to England, I would definitely stay here again. The location is amazing with a short walk down to Oxford Street and surrounds to find some great pubs. We feel like we really got the experience of a true B&B. Breakfast every morning was absolutely amazing and staff were all so nice and friendly. I required more time for our stay at the end and the staff were all too happy to accomodate us for a few extra nights, and even moved our bags for us as we had a room change. Amazing to have such a short walk to Hyde Park and we got to witness a BBC Radio 2 concert and a marathon! super small bathroom in the room on the main landing, but we thought that added to the experience. Parkwood felt like a home away from home on our trip to the other side of the world.

I have just returned home from a one night, good value for money, stay at Parkwood. We were very happy with the place! It is a lovely old building and in a surprisingly quiet location considering it is just a five minutes from Marble Arch Station. The breakfast was very tasty and the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in the room next to the breakfast room which was nicely decorated and spacious enough for us. The bathroom was clean and the shower worked well. The only downside for us was we had a late night and then breakfast started at 8am which disturbed our sleep. But 8am is not excessively early for the weekend, so we had no real complaint with this. The staff will let you leave your luggage on your checkout day if you want to shop/sightsee which is handy. We wouldn't hesitate to return!

I have been staying at the Parkwood hotel on and off for the past 15 years or more. I stayed there in January 2014 and found that it was just as good as before!
This time though I was in the family suite, (room 11). This is composed of two adjoining rooms with no door separating them. The suite also has a bathroom with a shower, so is quite convenient for family members sharing accommodation. Both rooms have TVs, and one of the rooms is equipped with tea and coffee making supplies. The room faces the back of the hotel, overlooking mews, and is so quiet that it is hard to belive that you are just a short distance from Marble Arch. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable.
I stayed there again just for one night when I had a single room also equipped with a bathroom and shower.
As always the staff in the reception area are very friendly and helpful with local attractions and nearby restaurant suggestions. The cost of the room includes breakfast served downstairs in a bright dining area. The breakfast includes juice, cereals, tea coffee and a wide choice of cooked foods including a full English breakfast. There is a note at the bottom of the menu saying that if you are still hungry...just ask!
An added bonus is that if you are leaving and returning the staff will allow you to leave a suitcase for a few days. Also while the rooms are equipped with phones, the staff do warn you that the cost of calls including local calls can mount up quickly. WiFi is available throughout the hotel.
The only negative is that there is no elevator and towards the top of the hotel the stairs become quite narrow and steep. If you have difficulty with carrying luggage you might want to ask for a room on the ground or first floor.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back of the hotel do not have street noise, but Stanhope Place is not the noisiest...

Central, accessible, great staff and pleasant atmosphere. It's easy to get to all the sights due to the location and proximity to bus stops and metro stations. Fantastic budget hotel and would (will hopefully!) stay there again in a heart beat!
