Very attractive B&B, spotless, great service in rooms, at front desk and in breakfast room. Location exceptional. Easy access to transportation, Great places to eat and shop, next to Victoria station but a block away so none of the hustle bustle disturbs you. And close enough to take advantage of the shopping and other places for information.

Rooms can be small but high ceiling makes it feel comfortable. Good luggage storage area, excellent location just off elizabeth street. Sansbury Local and wonderful ice cream place around the corner. Lots of excellent places to eat including The Ebury wine bar and restaurant and Baker & Spice sidewalk Cafe. Lovely and imaginative seating on street corners. Elegant Belgravia neighborhood. Great value and great staff makes you feel like you are special and are staying at a much more expensive place.

Stayed at the Lime Tree for 5 nights in May 2014. Helpful friendly staff, Nice clean rooms, 3 minute walk to Victoria Coach Station, 10 minute walk to Sloane Square tube station. Only possible draw back for some people is that there isn't a lift, so if this is an issue ask for a room on the ground floor. Breakfast is included. Many tours leave from Victoria Coach station, which as previously mentioned is a 3 minute walk from the Lime Tree. Would we stay here again? You bet.

Room Tip: No lift so select a room on the ground floor if this is an issue.

We (Mom, Dad and 28 year-old daughter) stayed at the Lime Tree Hotel for 6 nights the first week of June, and found it to be an amazing experience. The location is perfect: 3 minute walk from Victoria Coach station (National Express from Heathrow) and within a 10 minute walk of the Victoria Underground, which provides easy access to many London attractions. The neighborhood is quiet and has several family owned restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance.

We were in Room 4, with 3 single beds, 2nd floor and a lovely garden view. The room is a good size for a European hotel with two end tables and a chest of drawers for storage. The bathroom is small (shower, toilet and sink) but understand that this is an average size for Europe. There is no counter space in the bathroom but mom and daughter took over the top of the chest for creams, makeup, etc. Remember to bring your own wash cloth. We learned that Europeans do not provide them and have 3 brightly colored ones we travel with. Be forewarned: the bathroom sink in this room is on an elevated tile base. A couple of stubbed toes will get you to be careful approaching the sink! We kept the bath mat rolled over the edge after the first whack.

Another warning for those who pack heavily: there is no lift (elevator in American). The stairs are steep and narrow which can make it difficult to get large heavy luggage up to and down from the room. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from the staff; they’ll be more than happy to lend a hand.

Speaking of the staff, they are extremely friendly, kind and helpful. Clearly, their goal is to make your trip as wonderful as possible. They will make reservations, supply maps and directions and welcome you back from a day of sightseeing with a cheery smile. Same goes for the dining room folks who serve up a hearty breakfast (included in the price) with a smile every morning.

Bottom line: if we ever return to London, we would not hesitate to stay again at the Lime Tree Hotel. You should consider it too.

Room Tip: Room 4 is great for 3 people. If you are not able to negotiate stairs or need a large bathroom, thi...

We stayed at the Lime Tree Hotel for a week in March, the beginning of a long vacation and our first time in England. We didn't completely understand the transportation from the airport when we booked the room, but saw that it was close to Victoria Station. It was actually right around the corner from Victoria Coach Station, which was the bus we took from the airport. I don't think we could have found a more convenient location! There was also a bus stop right at the same area, so once we figured out the buses, we had no trouble getting all over London by bus and metro. As for the hotel, the staff was so friendly and helpful! Whenever we needed to know a place to go, or help getting someone by phone or whatever, there was someone there to help. The breakfast was excellent and it was interesting meeting other travelers each morning. The room was comfortable. The bathroom a bit small, not surprising in an older building. The neighborhood was very walkable and "Mary Poppins"-esque, fairly quiet and has restaurants and shops, and Sloan Square is nearby and has more restaurants and nightlife. Overall, this hotel is very highly recommended.

We stayed here for 3 nights during our trip to the UK in May. The location is lovely...in Belgravia...& we felt very safe walking in the neighborhood. The building is older, so we didn't expect air conditioning or a lift. I imagine staying in hotter weather might be uncomfortable...even with the windows open. The staff was very accommodating. Each person I came into contact with was very friendly, nice and would go out of their way to honor any request...even helping me locate an unusual item I was wanting to purchase (an antique doorknocker). The room was bigger than I expected for central London & the bathroom update was very nice. Breakfasts were delicious, although not much variety in options. It was an easy walk to Victoria station. The laundry facilities in Pimlico were a bit of a hike, but not bad. The small garden area our back was beautifully kept, & a nice place to drink a glass of wine and talk with our friends after a long day of traipsing around the city! I wouldn't hesitate recommending this hotel.

The Lime tree hotel is a wonderful hotel for a visit to London. Book early due to its popularity. It's well located with a friendly, helpful staff that wants you to have the best experience possible. They ask if they can assist with directions, make reservations and offer maps taking the time to highlight routes. Breakfast is hearty, delicious and served efficiently by the staff. Morning papers are available to keep up on the news.
I stayed in room 11 on the main floor, a triple with a garden view. Great wifi service. The bathroom is a shower only and a bit tight with the door, but I've had much worse in the UK. Comfortable bed. The floor creaks a bit when someone is on the stairs, but that's part of the charm. My travel adapter died while I was there and they had a drawer full in the office available for loan with a 5 pound deposit.

Totally agree with all the positive things folks have to say about the Lime Tree Hotel. We stayed there for 10 days in May 2014. However, there were some quirky qualities to the place. First of all, they only gave us 1 hand towel for 2 of us. When we requested a second, we were told that was an unusual request. I guess they expect people to share one hand towel. In our 30 years of traveling we have never encounter this. To make things even more puzzling, they gave us 3 bath towels?! The mirror in the bathroom was set over the toilet and not over the sink, making its usage cumbersome, not to mention the lack of lighting over the mirror. There was another mirror in the room, but it too was not lighted and was not full length. The bath tubs are new and clean, but oddly shaped (long and narrow). The tubs also lacked a rubber mat to insure safety. They were a bit stimpy on bathroom products (shampoo and body wash). If we had half a bottle used, they would not leave another until we had used it all up. When we inquired about having an iron brought up to our room, we were told due to fire regulations guest could not iron in their rooms. They had to come down to the first floor public lounge and iron. Needless to say, we decided to live with our wrinkled clothes. Each room had a safe. We stayed in two different rooms. The first room had the safe inconveniently mounted in the corner of the room on the floor! The instructions for using the safe were in the hotel booklet in the desk, NOT mounted near the safe. But even the instructions were confusing. They said to start by pushing the bottom in the back of the safe door. We had the hardest time finding the damn button. Turns out it should have read to push the button in the inside door hinge! Still, despite these quirky ordeals, we enjoyed our stay for all the reason given by other reviews.
