I visited Temple Church in mid- November. It was an easy picturesque walk from the Temple tube station. I walked through the Inns of Court and did have to stop and ask directions a few time. I enjoyed the walk over cobbled stone streets and beautiful, hushed gardens and Cloisters. The church was just incredible. There are several tombs of Crusaders in the church. This was another one of those quiet gems in a "hidden nook". Well worth the visit!

Working around here is lovely in that you step off Fleet Street and step back in time. Its a lovely little church which is best reached through the wooden black doors more of less opposite Chancery Lane.

Gorgeous inside and set in lovely surrounding area, with Cloisters, worth a visit and holds services from time to time see the times on the railings outside.

The Temple Church is only opened to visitors 4 hours a day 11am-1pm and then 2pm-4pm.

There just aren't that many places to experience the Templars, this is one of them. Finding it can be a bit of a challenge in the midst of the Inns of Court. On our first visit to London we stumbled across the church, were intrigued but didn't understand what we were seeing because there was no one there and no guidebooks. By the next trip we understood more but it wasn't open. Finally this time we got there and could appreciate it. Since the Da Vinci Code came out, it is now a "tourist attraction." That means there are people there to answer questions and a guide book. I still wish there was more explanation, an audio tour perhaps. Only about a third of the church is the Templar part, the rest is a later addition. Parts of the church were rebuilt after serious damage in the war, but that isn't unusual in much of Europe. If you're looking to experience and learn about a earlier part of history than in most of London, this is a good place.

Temple Church is a really good place to visit! You can see where some knights were buried in the church. There is so much history here! The Crusaders! Wow! You really need to put this on your "must see" list in London!

the Da Vinci Code or historical London. It was bombed during the 2nd WW and therefore some of it is rebuilt but there is still original work there. Interesting to hear the reviews of an admission fee now, as the grounds and temple were given to the law society in exchange for perpetual care of the church and grounds.
It is well marked off Fleet street and a great breath away from the hurry of the city.
