“Wonderful and welcoming”

we walked along the South Bank and the cathedral was well signposted. Its a small cathedral by London standards but with a lot of character. Roman remains, a shop, an excellent restaurant and loos all before we went inside. An oasis of calm, peace, and welcome, well worth a visit.

“Little gem”

Very small for a cathedral, but very peaceful. Wish you could get a better overview of the outside, but no courtyard

“Meaningful visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 22, 2013

Hidden under the London bridge, close to Burough market, is this beautiful cathedral, oldest in England. We listened to a short meaningful prayer and the most wonderful organ music. The sculpture of Christ's resting is very poignant and meaningful. I was very glad to have come across it.

“Well worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013 via mobile

If this lovely historic church was anywhere else it would be a major attraction in its own right, but in London it seems a bit overlooked -imagine being next to the Shard and Brough Market will change that. Hope it doesn't loose the quiet peaceful atmosphere from which to look at a variety of stone glass and wood objects, including a temporary modern head of Christ.
