“Great place to stay for exploring London, small but has everything you need.”

This compact accommodation has all facilities including dishwasher and washing machine. It's warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean and the owners are very friendly and approachable. The help they gave us with the best ways to go to and from the city, where to eat, where visiting friends could stay, what deals were available for specials on the entry fees to the sights and so on made a real difference to our holiday. It's only a two minute walk to Wimbledon Village where there are lots of restaurants, pubs, shops and a bakery with lovely bread. It's a very friendly village.

It's a 5 minute walk down the hill to Wimbledon train station where you can catch either the above ground train (17 minutes to Waterloo) or the tube. However it's a 10 minute walk back up the hill when you come home each day! It's easy to catch the No. 93 or the No. 200 bus up the hill (only 2 stops to the Village), and I'd recommend doing that especially when you first arrive with your suitcases.

The only drawbacks are:
1. It's difficult for the person on the left hand side of the bed to get in and out, because the bed (which we found a bit too firm for us) is squeezed into a small alcove
2. The extraction fan in the bathroom comes on automatically with the light (which you have to turn on because there's no window) and it keeps whirring for 10 to 15 minutes after the light has been switched off. Not a real problem but annoying if you need to go in there at night.

However these are small issues, and overall I'd heartily recommend staying here.

I stayed in this suite for 1o days and found it to be perfect for my needs. Just a short walk down the hill to Wimbledon train station which gives you the choice of rail links to Waterloo, Clapham junction and the city via train or district line underground .Wimbledon common, a huge public park, is also a short walk away. For horse-back riders there is a stables just up the street where you may go for a hack with a group. The owners live on site and are very friendly and kind.

I plan to return in 2014.
