Its basically a old house with random victorian items in it, the items are supposed to be from the books. You could buy thesame things at an antique show, do a better show. No proof its official or they are allowed to use the name. Its only there because of the address.
I could understand why we stood in a line outside for an hour, it took use under 20 Min at most to walk through.
People in line were so excited, bragging they were going into sherlock holmes house. Better to just take a picture outside, not pay the £10 Ticket price.
Buy tickets at gift shop thats next door, theres no sign that says that. Also, no toilets there or near it

lots of stairs, some scarey mannequins, interesting Victorian ephemera, but only takes about 15-20 minutes at a cost of £10.
Nothing interactive, mainly reflections of the stories, can pose for photos in deer stalker or bowler with pipe by a lovely fire.
Gift shop was small and very busy
a must for the Sherlock fanatic

Definitely worth going to if you are a Sherlock Holmes fan. Doesn't take that long to do, but it is kept very nicely to the times of Sherlock. Also, the entrance to the museum is separate from the 221B door, so you can take pictures.

Good long exhibition, easily one and a half hours, possibly two hours. Very informed, good book shop and café in museum of London itself. Good place to visit. Lots for kids in the museum itself. Concession for seniors. (us)

This museum is a must for any Sherlock Holmes fan, whether you're a fan of the movies, books or new BBC series. The price per person for a ticket is £10 so it's pretty cheap. People saying that there is no interactive things there are right, but I feel it's better kept this way. You can visit Sherlock's, Watson's and Mrs Hudson's rooms and then see some wax works. Seats with no rope across them are allowed to be sat in for pictures. It was quiet when I went so it wasn't too crowded. However, the queues can be quite large with the gift shop and ticket office using the same till. There is also something for everyone in the gift shop, and not for a bad price again.
