“Lovely neighborhood to visit!”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

From crisp aromatic ducks to a large variety of Chinese products, this neighborhood is a great place for shopping and to enjoy traditional food.

The best time to visit this area is in the evening, as the atmosphere is amazing! It doesn't feel you are in London when you are there.

Highly recommend!

“Good, But Choose Carefully Which Restaurant.”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

The atmosphere walking through Londons Chinatown is good ! Looking at the different shops with all the different chinese delicacies ect. But, DO choose very carefully the restaurant, you go in if you want to eat down there ! I ate in one in the evening and all they wanted to do was get you in and more so get you out as fast as they could, with no customer service, the food was mediocre, and one of the staff very rude ? So it is worth choosing a little bit more upmarket one if you can as I did a couple of nights later without a problem. But well worth a visit to Chinatown in London !

“Nothing special”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

Chinatown in the USA are stranger than here. Of course you are wondering about some strange food and goods in the windows but this is the small format of a Chinatown in the US.
We had a dinner at one of those buffet restaurants. It was cheap and ok. Nothing special to see and do.

“Overrated”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

I never quite feel that safe when walking down Chinatown. Its very busy, but considering this is supposed to be the most famous area for Chinese restaurants, I don't think I have ever eaten in one here which was above average. If you want good Chinese, to go China Tang at The Dorchester! The price may be slightly more than here though. Restaurants are open late however, so if you are highly intoxicated with alcohol, suddenly the food seems OK.
