It's certainly a beautiful statue. The intricate details are unbelievable and even though it's not very big it seems to engage with its surroundings and with the passers-by.

Iconic symbol of London's "West End" Theatre & Entertainment District. The Eros statue is an ideal focal point to suggest as a meeting place for friends.

There are lots of statues around London, most are stone renditions of heavy weight worhies and royal's of the past. The Eros statue is a bit of a departure because it is light, fanciful and fun.

Odd fact: Did you know that this statue was the first public statue made of aluminium?!

You have to get up early in the morning to get a photo of this without tourists sitting all over the steps on every side.

The Statue of Eros is located in the center of the roundabout known as Piccadilly Circus in London's west end. It is a must see on the tourist circuit.

At Piccadilly Circus there is a fountain atop which is a winged statue of Eros with his bow. This is sometimes referred to as the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain.
It was unveiled in 1893 and has been shifted slightly from it's earlier location.
It is a pretty fountain and statue but it is difficult to get a clear picture of it because there are always dozens of people sitting around it.
