Surely one of the greatest music venues in London. It may be my favourite especially after some fantastic customer service.
Alt-J gig sounded great but the seats we had were at the side of the stage and we could only see the drummer. When I called to 'complain' that there was no mention of resticted view, the situation was quickly and politely sorted.
I couldn't have asked for more.
No blame that there was no restricted view mention prior to the gig as the band had quite an unusual stage set-up and the venue wasn't to know.
Thank you RAH for excellent customer service.

Thank David C

After attending a musical spectacular recently at Royal Albert hall, I wanted to share how amazing the auditorium is! There are no words that describe this sight and sound to experience yourself. The room is obviously circular, on several tiers. Interior design is traditionally grand, as is expected of this old lady! The acoustic signature in the hall is second to none! Seats can be slightly swivelled side to side if necessary. The seats fold up for ease of passing in the confined spaces.
The floor staff are very friendly and helpful.
There are several bars, cafes for refreshment. There is also a gift shop for souvenirs of your visit.
This is a special venue for that special occasion. Once you have visited, you will surely return!
There are several toilets on each floor, but be ready to queue!!!

The only difficulty that we encountered was that whilst using public transport- underground, there is a walk to the Hall itself, it took us about 30 mins from South Kensington underground station, so think of that in your timings. Also consider your journey home after an evening performance. We ended up having to leave slightly before the end in order to catch the last trains! There are ample taxis outside. As the performance overan we had to take a taxi to the mainline station for our homeward journey. This cost us £15 to Marylebone as an example.

We have recently this venue to see Amadeus with live orchestra. We had good view seats in the Arena Block A, however, these seas are so rammed in and uncomfortable, would have probably been better in the set seats.

On top of this we meet friends in one of the bars on site, owned by The RAH Bars,
4 drinks and 4 sandwiches came to £60!!! then we had another beer and white wine which cost £21.50. It turns out a plastic glass of white wine was £14!!!! pretty disgusting I think. We shall certainly not be using their eating facilities again! in fact wish I had read Trip Advisor before we went...............

This was our 6th visit to the hall. This time we saw a great band and choir and "West End" performers singing "Songs of the West End." Another excellent show in a beautiful venue!

Our choir was lucky enough to be invited to sing again in this magnificent building and be part of a Gala Concert with Brass & Voices in aid of Cancer research. 1500 voices and two brass bands of the highest calibre, Grimethorpe Colliery & Cory brass bands. The Albert Hall staff looked after us very well and we were able use the facilities, lovely restaurants and coffee bars etc. It was an amazing weekend for us as a choir with the emence privilege of singing in such an amazing building. Lovely to hear the organ played at full throttle along with the grand piano. Next visit will be at Christmas.

We took the Grand Tour of the Royal Albert Hall which lasted approximately 1 hour. Our guide explained the history of this magnificent building and we got to see behind the scenes, all extremely interesting. During the tour various choirs were rehearsing so we were lucky to see and hear the orchestra play. Highly recommended.

I have had the pleasure of attending the RAH a couple of times previously - but today was special, I went to the afternoon performance of the 2018 Festival of Remembrance. A fantastic event, great performance by all services, and very humbling.

The hall is a great auditorium, great view from seats, great acoustics. The facilities for food and drinks is also very good.

A great place to go

We booked a full afternoon and evening at the Royal Albert Hall starting with a tour, afternoon tea and a concert. The guide provided a lot of history about how the construction was financed (first time share!), the current value of private boxes, where the Royal Family box is, acoustic improvements in the 1960s, etc.

Well worth spending time and money to have the tour.
