I've seen Cirque de Soleil, Romeo and Juliet in the round, Carmina Burana, various orchestral concerts and a memorable full day there once during the Proms season listening to choirs. It's an old building and you'll be well advised to choose your seat according to what you're there for. Beware seats with restricted views. Be careful of the stalls too. You can't guarantee a short person will sit in front of you. Shared boxes can be a disaster: especially if the other lot turn up with a picnic theatre supper which includes cooked and steaming food and rather too much alcohol. But these are the exceptions. Most of the time you're in for a great evening. The acoustics are good now of course: they have been for many a year now.
