A must-see place for everyone visiting London. Great piece of British history, in the centre location (House of Parliament). Walking distance from London Eye, next to Westminster bridge. I recommend visiting Big Ben at night and you can take some great pictures.

For the unaware "Big Ben" refers to the bell in the clock tower of the Palace of Westminster. It's been there for years and the chimes, known as Westminster chimes are copied across many domestic chiming clocks. Most visitors think that the clock tower is in fact "Big Ben" but my friends they are wrong. Whatever the name or the actual item inferred to, go to London's Parliament Square and enjoy the Palace of Westminster, the Houses of Parliament and the "peeling Delights" of Big Ben..

Big Ben under repair while we visited and it was a huge bummer.
The repair would be completed in 2022 I think, cannot wait to see the Big Ben chime again

Despite being out of service for restoration, and covered in scaffolding, it looked a picture at night when it was all lit up

Truly a heart warming experience seeing Big Ben. It never gets old! Every time I see it, it’s rewarding.

Sadly it is under restoration until 2021, so there is not much to be seen right now. But knowing it is there and the surroundings of Westminster make it a nice destination

Unfortunately Big Ben is under some large scaffolding and is not visible. You can still see the face of the clock and that’s really it. Look forward to visiting again and seeing it once the restoration is complete but for now we have to wait.

The Big Ben is unfortunately under construction but since it is not my first visit to London I know it is one of the most beautiful attractions of London. You can anyhow not miss this part of London when visiting.

Shame you can't see Big Ben, renovations, building work, covered in scaffolding and sheets of plastic...
