Lovely building next to the Thames, particularly enjoyed hearing musicians rehearsing through open windows.

“Want to go back !”
Reviewed August 21, 2013

Noticed this place from the Thames Clipper and couldn't wait to visit. We were not disappointed . This is a World Heritage site and deservedly so. The Painted Hall and Chapel are the outstanding features. There are plenty of friendly and informative guides. We had a pleasant late lunch at The Old Brewery which has tables outside for sunny days. Also large lawns if a picnic is preferred. We didn't allow enough time for our visit so will certainly return. Can't believe it's all free. Greenwich also worth a visit and next time Cutty Sark too. It was lovely to get away from the crowds in London for a short time.

“The Painted Hall is breathtaking”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

I stumbled across the Old Royal Naval College by accident, and am glad I did. The Painted Hall, with its end wall painting of George I surrounded by angels etc.. is breath taking, as is the ceiling, which must rank alongside that in the Sistine Chapel. The Chapel is also breath taking. I was more impressed with this building than I was with the Maritime Museum.
