I am not sure why anyone would choose this hotel when staying in London (I got booked in for a work function), it is a good 15mins in a cab to get into the centre with all the extra costs that involves. The rooms are clean and well maintained, all very much to the Marriott Brand Standard, the breakfast, again, right out of their brand guide so all should be good. Except the surrounding area is not the best which makes it even more astonishing that they have very limited on site parking which you can't book in advance and results in a ten minute schlep to the nearest safe car parking area - why pay for a fairly expensive room rate then add on the cab fares on top of which you the have to walk to get your car - even for a short trip out. Book a hotel in the centre all in all you'll save money.

Without exception all the staff I encountered in my staff, were polite, smiling and eager to help. The room was up to the usual Marriott standard. There is a car park beneath the hotel but the number of spaces are limited and, as ever in London, it's not cheap. Breakfast was good, lovely sausages and eggs cooked to order. Well located with Kilburn High Road Overground a short stroll away and it's then two stops to Euston.

This hotel is nicely maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the free breakfast each morning that came with our room. A good way to start the day. Just steps outside of the hotel you can see London and meet the people. The Tube is just a short walk away and from there it is just a few minutes into the heart of London.

Room Tip: The back side away from the traffic is best.

I stay in Marriott hotels in the UK and abroad for business and leisure. Unfortunately this is the worst Marriott I've stayed in. The beds are hard and both my wife and I slept badly on both nights. We moved rooms after the first night as the window wouldn't open for fresh air and the room smelt stale. The second room was better, but the mattress was too hard and the pillows didn't suit the bed. I appreciate that the price is reasonable for London, but expect to be able to sleep!
The other downside is that the room had a door through to the room next door. You could hear the people's conversation as though they where in the same room! This was totally unacceptable as we where woken up at midnight by them coming back in and could hear their conversation then and again in the morning. They weren't being too loud, simply a fact of a pathetic design fault!! This would be fine if you had family next door and wanted lazy access to them instead of just going via the normal doors, but not when you can hear everything total strangers are saying. We heard them say that we where awake, so obviously they suffered the same problem.
The breakfast was pretty average and in comparison to other UK Marriotts was lacking in choice and quality. The only good thing about this hotel, is that it's near Kilburn park tube station which is on the Bakerloo line and is ideal for travelling into central London. Pay the extra £60 per night to stay in the Grovesnor Marriott. It's just off Oxford street, 10 mins walk from Selfridges and massively superior.
